Every November 11th, people around the world gather to commemorate, honour, and remember those who made sacrifices during times of war. Remembrance Day, the 11th day of the 11th month, marks the end of World War I, and reinforces hope for the peaceful world we want to pass on to future generations. This Saturday, November 11th, wear a poppy, tell your kids about our history, and join the parades and ceremonies around Metro Vancouver. We’ve listed out events happening around town by city below, so you can easily find what you are looking for. All events are on Saturday, November 11th, unless otherwise noted.
