Hip hip hooray, it’s almost the weekend! And what a weekend it is. Our interactive events guide is bursting full of great family-friendly activities and events for you and your family. There are fairs and carnivals, the circus, festivals celebrating bees, tree tours, craft and artisan markets, and more. Take part in a fishing derby, learn about whales and dolphins, or run for a good cause. Ladner May Days

Catch all the fun-filled events and activities at Ladner’s Pioneer May Days. From a fastball tournament to fun rides, face painting, concerts and more! The Sunday activities kick-off with a pancake breakfast followed at noon by the May Days Parade featuring the May Queen float. Come watch as members of the local community stroll through the Ladner Village. You’ll get to see local businesses, entertainers, school groups, dance teams, and more!
Big Tree Weekend: Tour the Giants

Langley Demonstration Garden: Festival of the Bees

It’s the official opening day of the Langley Demonstration Garden, presented by the Township of Langley and the Langley Environmental Partners Society. This year, explore the wild world of bees and pollination at the first-ever Festival of the Bees! Meet a variety of bee-wise folk who will educate and inspire, including visitors from Campbell’s Gold and the Honeybee Centre. This kid-friendly event will include beeswax candle making, seed bomb creating, mason bee house making, a plant sale, face painting, a seed swap, live music, and more. Festival-goers are encouraged to wear a springtime-themed costume! Registration is not required for this free, rain-or-shine event. Refreshments will be available by donation.

This year they are showcasing local young talent, with several performers from their outstanding local high school music programs. Entertainment will also include square dancers, a ju-jitsu demo, and the ever-popular Norden the Magician.

Salmonberry Days Fair

In the Mahan confederacy of ancient Korea, this was a day of spiritual rites, and enjoyment with song, dance, and wine. Celebrate this event at Trout Lake CC and enjoy live performances, songs, dance and traditional food. There will be an art station for the kids too. Fun for the whole family!
Salmon Dash ‘N Splash

Head to the water park for fishy-themed family fun and 300m fun runs that take off at 1 pm and 3 pm. Dress for a wet and wild time!
