End the weekend with a free outdoor VSO concert at Deer Lake Park — it’s a Metro Vancouver summer must-do!

CBC Musical Nooners – Opening Day
Friday, July 7th, 12 pm – 1:45 pm, Hamilton Street, between West Georgia & Robson, Vancouver
Fake Shark – 12:00pm – 12:30pm; Said The Whale – 12:45pm – 1:45pm. With hits like “Cheap Thrills” and “Heart 2 Heart”, synthy art-pop artists Fake Shark will kick off Musical Nooners. Get ready to move to their punky, funky, and toe tapping jams. Then move your senses over to Juno award winning indie rock, feel good band, Said the Whale. Their new album “As Long As Your Eyes Are Wide” has given us the top twenty hit “I Will Follow You”. This afternoon of hit music is not to be missed! Due to a fantastic response from the public, Hamilton Street will be shut down to traffic between West Georgia and Robson for the first time ever for Opening Day for nooners!
Pokemon: Symphonic Evolutions

The VSO presents Pokemon: Symphonic Evolutions, performed live by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. This is the must-see video game concert of the year, giving fans and newcomers of all ages a chance to experience the evolution of the Pokemon franchise like never before.
Movie in Douglas Park

ArtStarts Explores is a hands-on drop-in workshop series for creative and adventurous families held from 11am to 12pm every Saturday (except the last Saturday of each month). Explore creativity with your family through hands-on investigations and discover a wide variety of materials and artistic mediums.
