Outdoor Movie at Trimble Park “SING”

West Point Grey Community Centre in partnership with Fresh Air Cinemas is hosting a big screen movie at Trimble Park. The movie this year is SING and activities including a BBQ and family friendly activities, which will begin at 6:30 pm with the movie starting at approx. 8pm. 145th Chilliwack Fair

The 145th Chilliwack Fair is celebrating Canada’s 150th Birthday! We have so many things in store this year including Cooking Demonstrations, 4-H competitions, Live BC Musicians, the BC Rodeo, and our annual Dairy Show in honoured memory of Charlie Thomson. Come by and visit with the animals, watch live performances, eat from our vast selection of food trucks and take in the Fair!
Stanley Park BioBlitz

The Stanley Park Ecology Society, the Canadian Wildlife Federation, and BioBlitz Canada 150, with the support of the Department of Canadian Heritage, are holding a celebration of national biodiversity in Stanley Park this year on August 12th and 13th. The festival is called BioBlitz, and it’s a great way to celebrate all the amazing biodiversity in our great nation. The best part? All the events are totally family-friendly and free to attend! Just be sure to pre-register!
Kaleidoscope Arts Festival

B.C.’s beloved rocker, Bif Naked, takes the outdoor stage as the headlining act to this highly anticipated, full-day arts festival on Saturday, Aug. 12. The musical lineup also features jazz/pop singer-songwriter Jennifer Hayes, indie/roots/folk act West My Friend, indie rockers Derrival, and BreakOut West 2017 nominees for Rock Artist of the Year, The Matinée. Other festival highlights include dancers, circus performers, storytellers, artists, an artisans market, kids’ activities, local food trucks and craft beer.
Amazing Farm Scavenger Hunt

Meteor Shower Watch

Join astronomers with telescopes as they search the night sky for the Perseids meteor shower. Enjoy lantern-lit trails, games, crafts, storytelling and other entertainment. Blackout: Night Sky Festival

Explore our connection to the stars during an evening of arts and astronomy. Inspired by the global dark sky movement, Blackout brings together storytellers, musicians, artists and astronomers to share their relationships to the skies. Join us to witness the peak of the Perseid meteor shower and explore the museum until midnight during this all-ages event. You’ll have the chance to peer into telescopes, make your own star lantern and experience an experimental art installation that reimagines the constellations. Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy stargazing to a soundtrack of downtempo, ambient and tribal beats, punctuated by live music and throat singing.
6th Annual Bees & Blueberries Festival

Dr. Bee’s Honeyland Canada is proud to present the relaunch of our annual bees and blueberries festival.
