Birding Walk at Redwood Park
Saturday, April 22nd, 9 am – 11 am, Redwood Park, 17900 – 20th Avenue, Surrey
Search for local birds in the arboretum, a collection of trees from all around the world! This guided walk is great for beginner to intermediate birders. Bring binoculars and a field guide if you have them. All ages, rain or shine.
11th Annual Hyde Creek Spring Open House & Salmon Release
Saturday, April 22nd, 10 am – 3 pm, Hyde Creek Education Centre & Hatchery, 3636 Coast Meridian Road, Port Coquitlam
Release salmon into Hyde Creek and send the fry on their journey to the ocean. The Education Centre & Hatchery will be busy with tours, exhibits, crafts and Dr. Fish as part of the day. A fund raising hot dog BBQ will be part of the event.
Party for the Planet

The West Vancouver Streamkeepers Society is hosting their annual Adopt-a-Fish in Memorial Park. Pick up your Salmon Release Certificate at the West Vancouver Memorial Library, then head to Memorial Park to collect, and then release a salmon smolt into the wild.
Earth Day Celebration at Stanley Park

Think globally while acting locally through the Earth Day celebration at Stanley Park! Join in for a day of hands-on ecology through restoration activities, conservation action, crafts and booths for the whole family, and a tour to visit our local heron colony. Learn about the various conservation initiatives of the Stanley Park Ecology Society and how our work is supporting wildlife.
