It’s time for Christmas shopping! Forget the mall, it’s too hot and crowded.… Head over to one (or many) of these fantastic craft fairs instead! Some are ongoing through November and December, and others only happen once, so check the schedule before you head out. Whether you’re looking for one-of-a-kind Christmas decorations for your house, gift ideas for the kids or the hard-to-buy family members, delicious treats for co-workers or something to pamper yourself with, you’ll find it here. We guarantee that you’ll also discover unexpected treasures if you keep your eyes open.

Vancouver Winter Farmers Market

Farmer’s Markets are alive and well throughout the year in Vancouver. This weekly market features farmers, artisans, crafters, tasty food, and more.  Bring your own bags or purchase re-usable ones on-site. Check the website for info about Food Scrap Drop, and for a list of vendors each week.

Blackberry Artist’s Society’s Christmas Marketplace

Art studios and other local attractions are opening their doors and inviting you in. Visit the artisans at work, and discover fine art, pottery, soaps and Christmas decorations, along with herbs, cheeses and honey.

6th annual West Coast Christmas Show & Marketplace

Make It!

Make It! has moved under a new roof, and has even more space for artists, crafters and artisans. Shop from over 250 talented Canadian makers, and go home with bags full of fashion and fine art, jewellery and chocolates, bibs and pottery. There will be food carts so you can grab a lunch to keep you going. Once you pay your admission, you can come back as many times as you like over the weekend.

Women’s Winter Faire

The biggest craft fair in the Tri-Cities, this event features over 120 local crafters selling everything you can imagine, from woodturning to fashion, kids’ stuff to cards. Hotties Mobile Pasta Bar & Catering will be serving up delicious Italian food to keep you shopping.
