Theatre Under the Stars Contests

contest: win a family 4-pack of tickets to theatre under the stars

This contest ends on Friday, July 6th at 10 pm Pacific Time and is open to residents of British Columbia age 18+.

Summertime is the best in Metro Vancouver, with fireworks, festivals, and tons of fun. One of our favourite summer traditions is heading to Stanley Park’s Malkin Bowl for a night of sing-along fun at one of Theatre Under the Star’s (TUTS) musical performances. Each year TUTS produces two different musical shows that alternate performance nights throughout the summer. This year’s line-up includes Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella and 42nd Street.

Theatre Under the Stars is giving one lucky yoyomama family 4 tickets to the performance of their choosing this summer. To enter, follow the instructions below. Remember to come back and enter again daily for more chances to win!

42nd Street is well known to be Broadway’s biggest, brassiest song-and-dance extravaganza. This particular performance is directed by Robert McQueen and features a tonne of local talent. Making her TUTS stage debut as the story’s heroine, Peggy Sawyer, is Paige Fraser who stars alongside Jessie Award-winner Janet Gigliotti as stage diva Dorothy Brock. Talented actor Blake Sartin (Billy Lawlor) returns to TUTS following his hilarious portrayal as George in 2017’s The Drowsy Chaperone.

Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella is a magical musical of dreams come true and happily ever after. Just like 42nd Street, this performance is jam-packed with local and international talent. Making her TUTS debut is Mallory James as Cinderella, performing alongside fellow newcomers Tré Cotten as Prince Topher and Laura Cowan (Marie, The Fairy Godmother). Joining them is Caitlin Clugston who will play Cinderella’s stepmother (Madame), and Amanda Lourenco and Vanessa Merenda who will star as stepsisters Charlotte and Gabrielle. Michael Wild, who returns to TUTS for his fourth season, will play Prince Topher’s advisor, Sebastian.

  5. Looking forward to spending some time with my daughter… and hopefully getting to take her and my mom to see Cinderella at TUTS 🤞🏽

  6. I can’t wait for some time off work to just enjoy my kids and relax poolside (or lake side or river side).

  7. I think we are most looking forward to the freedom of the summer. Lots of days where we can wake up and just decide how we want to spend the day, and fewer days where we have to prod kids to get somewhere at a certain time. :-)

  8. TUTS is a highlight for us every summer! I can’t wait to see Cinderella with my kids this year.

  9. I haven’t been to TUTS with my family yet! My kiddos would be thrilled to see either show!

  10. Most looking forward to slowing down and thoroughly enjoying the company of my 6-year-old daughter.

  11. I am looking forward to the break from school, and the time to enjoy my 6 children… lots of bbqs and game nights!

  12. We have lots of camping planned for this summer! We’re also looking forward to the summer theatre when we’re not away. Hubby and I love theatre (we had subscriptions to our local theatre back when we were dating / newly married) but haven’t done it much since moving to Vancouver because of having babies. This year I’m hoping to get out to some of the plays, like TUTS, with our older kids or just by ourselves. :) Thanks for sharing about these plays!

  13. I’m looking forward to spending time in Stanley Park this summer with my family.

  14. I am looking forward to spending more time with the family and enjoying being a “tourist” in our beautiful city.
