Mothers are some of the most inventive and creative people we know. One chilly day after local mama Carleigh Kage noticed that while most of the kids in the playground were wearing hats their ears were still exposed, she went home and developed the Bean Pod a head and ear protector that can be worn alone or under a hat.

We’ve been fans of incredibly useful Wysi™ Wipes for a few years now. Which begs the questions, why haven’t we shared info about them before now? We wish we knew the answer to that, but at least their time has finally come. They look like a large white tablet or pill, but get them just a little bit wet and they expand into a nine inch square cloth that multi-tasks to tackle pretty much whatever you throw at it.

Move over playdough there’s a new toy in town, PlayMais. It looks a bit like coloured cheese puffs, but is actually made of cornstarch and coloured with natural dyes and it’s also biodegradable, non-toxic and packaged “lightly” without a lot of excess.
