must-do family fun at the whistler children’s festival

It’s the family event of the summer — the 35th annual Whistler Children’s Festival is on from July 6th – 8th at the Whistler Olympic Plaza. From a dance party on Friday night, to arts and crafts, awesome musical performances, and delicious kid-friendly food all weekend long, you and your family are sure to have a blast!

Here are just a few fun activities we are looking forward to:

Kick Off Dance Party
Jump into party mode! Dance the night away at a free all-ages dance party.

Main Stage Performances
Head to the Main Stage for awesome performances by Jocelyn Pettit Band and Jacky Essombe, plus local youth performers and emerging artists.

Mini Food Market Zone
Enjoy delicious eats for the whole family including, perogies, snow cones, and corn dogs.

Balloon Hats
A festival favourite, for sure! Get your hands on a one-of-a-kind balloon hat. Will yours be super tall? Full of crazy colours? Maybe it will look like a dog or snake!

Surprise Science Show from Science World
The super-secret interactive science show from Science World is going to blow your mind!

Krafty Kids Activity Village
In place of workshops requiring registration, this year the festival is introducing Krafty Kids Activity Village, where your kiddos can make shabby shakers, paint flower pots, create rain sticks, decorate hats, and construct sailboats and wind chimes.

Tickets will also be available for purchase on-site on Friday, July 6th from 4:00 – 7:00 pm and from 9:00 am until close on Saturday, July 7th and Sunday, July 8th.

Entrance Fee: $10 per day for children 3–10 years. Free for kids 2 & under, parents and guardians.

Fun Tickets: Some activities require additional fun tickets, which can be purchased for $5/ticket. Purchase a fun ticket pack and save with 5 fun tickets for the price of 4.
