Be delighted and amazed at the Royal Canadian Family Circus Spectac! 2018. The show is full of astounding acrobatics, death-defying stunts, and thrilling acts that are entertaining for all ages. The circus is only in town for 33 shows from May 17th – June 10th in Surrey, Tswwassen, Richmond, and Abbotsford.
It’s hard to pick a favourite act — the show was captivating from start to finish! A few standout performances include:
The 50’ Wheel of Destiny
Ringmaster and daredevil, Joseph Dominic Bauer, takes to the sky on the Wheel of Destiny — with no harness, no net, no safety devices whatsoever! We were on the edges of our seats as the Wheel of Destiny spun faster and faster while Joseph performed insane stunt after insane stunt — some while blindfolded! You’ll have sweaty palms after watching this thrilling performance.
Duo Guerrero 4 Man High Wire
If you are a fan of America’s Got Talent, you may recognize the name. They’ve been featured on television, as an opening act for the Winter Olympics, and have traveled the world performing. This husband and wife team (both over 50 years old, by the way) dazzled the audience with their spectacular feats on a high wire way above the circus ring. They jump, dance, and do the splits, all while singing and balancing on a tiny tightrope.
Caleb Corinci-Asch Equestrians & Acrobats
This is extreme horseback riding — the horse and rider acrobatic equestrian team performs a myriad of jaw-dropping stunts, all while going faster and faster around the circus ring. There are flips, somersaults, and a ring of fire! And yes, they are the horses from Hugh Jackman’s The Greatest Showman!
Tommy Tequila Juggling Act
This one you have to see to believe — World Record holder, Tommy Tequila, can juggle 7 Ping-Pong balls with his mouth! The speed, precision, and concentration it takes to perform this stunt is astounding. He also juggles hats, balls, and anything else he can get his hands on.
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. There’s a fascinating and magical quick-change act, several insanely talented aerial performers, and mesmerizing performances from a Chinese acrobat troupe too.
The Royal Canadian Family Circus is one of those spectacular shows that is truly great for all ages. Our 3-year-old and 7-year-old were thoroughly entertained, as were the many parents and grandparents in the audience. The show is only in town for a few more performances; so make sure you grab your tickets. You won’t want to miss it!
