There are tons of awesome events happening all over Metro Vancouver this month. Cherry Blossom Festival
March 30th – April 23rd, Various Venues around Vancouver
The Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival is an annual celebration that marks the reawakening in our community and the blossoming of beautiful cherry blossom trees. Join in on tons of great cherry blossom-related events like the sakura illumination, cherry festival concerts, watercolour painting and lots of great outdoor walks and talks.
BLOOM: Abbotsford Tulip Festival
April 10th – May 7th, 36737 North Parallel Road, Abbotsford
The Abbotsford Tulip Festival was created to celebrate the beauty of tulips and the Dutch heritage in the Fraser Valley. You are welcome to stroll through the tulip field and enjoy the brilliant display of color along with other activities offered at the festival. Pack a picnic or visit one of the food trucks and enjoy a fun filled day with family and friends. With photo cut out boards, a covered picnic area and a children’s play area, there is something for everyone!
Whistler World Ski & Snowboard Festival
April 7th – 16th, Whistler
The World Ski & Snowboard Festival is a 10-day annual celebration of snowsports, music, arts and mountain life. Beyond the amazing skiing and snowboarding events you can spectate there are tons of outdoor concerts and activities. This event is totally family-friendly and a ton of fun!
Early Years Festival
April 8th, 10 am – 3 pm, Chuck Bailey Recreation Centre, 13458 107a Avenue, Surrey
Join us for a fun and interactive day! This free event is perfect for young children up to the age of 6 or for parents expecting a new addition to their family. The Early Years Festival connects with community members and focuses on providing children with a healthy and active lifestyle. The Early Years Festival will also have many vendors and local non-profit organizations providing information and services for children, families and Surrey’s community.
BrickCan LEGO Exhibition

Imagine if hundreds of LEGO® fans from all over the world converged in one location, and brought with them creations that they had spent countless hours working on. What if they set up and staged all these creations in a great venue, and invited you to come and see them? Wouldn’t that be cool? Well, hold on, because that’s exactly what BrickCan is all about. The final two days of the four day Adult LEGO Fan Convention are dedicated to putting on an incredible LEGO Exhibition, for kids of all ages to enjoy.
Surrey Vaisakhi Parade

Marking the New Year, every April, millions of Sikhs world-wide celebrate Vaisakhi Day. Considered one of the most important festivals in the Sikh calendar, parades celebrating the event are held in Sikh communities around the world. One of the largest occurs in Surrey, where 80,000 – 200,000 people attend the annual Vaisakhi Parade and Celebration, making it one of the largest Vaisakhi parades outside India.

Ready to Party for the Planet? Join us for B.C.’s largest Earth Day celebration on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Surrey City Hall Plaza. Party for the Planet is BC’s largest Earth Day. Earth Day Parade and Festival

Since 2011, Vancouverites have flocked to Commercial Drive each April for the Annual Earth Day Celebration, March and Festival! We hope to see you there! Join Windermere High School’s Youth for Climate Justice Now as we carry on this fun, family-friendly tradition by coming together to celebrate the planet. This year’s parade will begin at Commercial and Broadway at 1 pm and the festival will continue at Grandview Park from 2 pm – 5 pm.
Celebrate Earth Day in Maple Ridge

Earth Day at Everett Crowley Park
