Fear not … our annual Halloween HQ is here!
It’s October, which means our list of all things ghoulish and spooktacular for you and the kiddos to do around town is here. And this is just the beginning! We’ll be adding new haunted and creepy (as well as cute and sweet, of course) Halloween happenings as they come in, so check back often for new events.
Here are all the spookalicious event listings:
- pumpkin patches around the GTA
- ghost trains, haunted houses and history
- crafts, story times, and activities
- carnivals, parties, and Big Night celebrations
Pumpkin patches are already open, so book a group outing or drop in for hayrides, corn mazes, music, and, of course, pumpkins!
Of course, Halloween is about more than just fun events. So here’s a roundup of yoyomama posts to help you find the perfect costume (and dance music), amuse the little ones, and most importantly, to stay safe out there!
Not to sound all helicopter-parent here, but every year we hear about kids getting injured while out trick-or-treating, so we’ve got a few common sense ways to stay safe while having fun this Halloween.
Sweeten up your local ghosts and goblins with the recipe for these fun Halloween cupcakes, or keep your kids busy on a rainy afternoon with this decidedly un-scary zombie craft – all you need are a few everyday materials and our easy, step-by-step instructions.
Beyond books, there are other ways to build literacy at Halloween — by practicing our “A”, “Booos”, and “Cs”!
P.S. Don’t forget our Halloween Pinterest board for costume “how-tos”, carving patterns, DIY décor, printable designs, creepy crafts, and spooky snacks!
