Welcome to yoyomama’s weekend guide! Your go-to list of family friendly fun things to do with kids in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. It’s also easy to get these event listings in our handy new app, OnTheGoKids, which takes our weekend guide and makes it mobile!
The season is officially changing, and the days are getting shorter fast! So light up the night at Renfrew Ravine Moon Festival, the Fall Lantern Festival in Richmond, or gather around a campfire at Boundary Bay Regional Park. Harvest festivals are also happening around the Lower Mainland, from Port Coquitlam to Surrey, and from Abbotsford to North Vancouver, so come and join some fun times, “country style”. It’s also the best time of year for nature walks and discovering the forests, and there are lots of opportunities for doing just that. And don’t forget, the Talk like a Pirate Day is happening this weekend…ahoy, mateys!
