Welcome to yoyomama’s weekend guide! Your go-to list of family friendly fun things to do with kids in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. It’s also easy to get these event listings in our handy new app, OnTheGoKids, which takes our weekend guide and makes it mobile!
There are two big celebrations going on this weekend: Culture Days is a Canada-wide celebration of art, music, and theatre, and many of the events are geared towards families; and World Rivers Day celebrates flowing waters, plus offers a chance to learn more about rivers and their conservation. Surrey International World Music Marathon is also happening this weekend, so whether you’re a runner or enjoy good music, check it out! And you can investigate spiders, plant trees, enjoy good books, join a royal tea party, go for a swim, or learn about scientific discoveries and inventions. So get out, enjoy the fall weather, and have a good time this weekend!
