vancouver: what to do, what to do?

It’s Thanksgiving weekend, and though the weather is getting colder, there’s lots of family fun to be had. If you’re feeling active, check out some Thanksgiving Skates, go on the ClickinWalk, or hit up the Turkey Trot. If you’d like to relax, and maybe have a Thanksgiving meal cooked for you, check out the kite flying at Vanier Park, do a craft at Home Depot, and enjoy a community Thanksgiving dinner. And don’t miss all the cranberry celebrations! If you’re looking to get started on Halloween celebrations, be sure to check out our Halloween HQ.

If you find yourself celebrating Thanksgiving in the city this weekend, there’s plenty to keep the family busy. For a festive food experience, visit Black Creek Pioneer Village, Casa Loma, or take a cruise around the City’s harbour. If you’re looking for a turkey break, take a trip to Harbourfront Centre for HarbourKIDS Monster event, visit Solar Stage for a showing of Thumbelina, test your navigation at the Ontario Science Centre, or take in the beautiful fall colours at Kortright or at one of Halton’s Parks. Happy Thanksgiving!

for the love of pie

Nothing beats a homemade pie. Except homemade pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. But between getting the fresh fruit and making the fiddly piecrust you need some time, which many of us simply don’t have. So we love that T.O. has a shop dedicated to nothing but pie: The Pie Shack.

spooky spirit reads
