Welcome to yoyomama’s weekend guide! Your go-to list of family friendly fun things to do with kids in Toronto and the GTA.

Fall has arrived in T.O., and it has brought a whole lot of fun with it! Book nerds won’t want to miss the annual Word On The Street festival; teachers (plus a guest) get in free to the Zoo; the lovable and kooky Toopy & Binoo make a stop in the city; families will enjoy free admission to The Ontario Science Centre for the annual Community Day; and a quick trip out of town is the way to go if you love festivals and apples!

 


The First Annual EcoParent Scavenger Hunt

Saturday, September 24th,  10 am – 3 pm, starting line: Evergreen Brickworks, Koerner Gardens, and everything gets under way by 10:40, if you can’t show up by then call Kevin at 647.995. 4561 and he’ll loop you in, Toronto
Explore the green side of Toronto with this great scavenger hunt geared towards families discovering our city’s green resources. If you can it’s best to  register in advance by emailing kevin@ecoparent.ca because 24 hours before the event he’ll be emailing you your package containing everything you’ll need for the starting line! You can also show up on the morning of the event, but why not sign up now? And of course there are prizes including a gift certificate for $100 to The Big Carrot and more gift certificates from places like the 100-Mile Child, Diaper-eez and Ethical Deal. Starlight Walk For Smiles

The 6th Annual Starlight Walk for Smiles, presented by Cineplex and in support of the Starlight Children’s Foundation, aims to raise awareness and help raise funds for Starlight Smile Therapies – programs and activities that bring relief and happiness to seriously ill children and their families. The Ugly Duckling

The Word On The Street

Harvest Festival

Music & Truffles

Applefest Weekend

Applefest Fall Fair

Oakville Mompreneur Show
