As families get back to school and back in the swing of things, weekend fun is going to be a welcome distraction from the structure of weekly schedules and busyness. This weekend T.O. has no shortage of family fun: catch a panto-style twist on the classic story of Rapunzel, take in some great culture, food, and entertainment at festivals throughout the city, see our big purple dinosaur friend at Ontario Place, or join in any number of charity events running in and around town.

To celebrate both, check out The Fort Langley Fort Farm Fall Fair, Burnaby Village Museum Fall Fair, The Sharing Farm Community Potluck, or the East Richmond Community Association’s outdoor movie night. And if you’d prefer something more intimate, check out these summer finale ideas.

It’s hard to believe, but September is here! Which means back to school, the closing of the EX for another season (make sure to catch the grand finale air show!), cooler temps (perfect to enjoy the Hot & Spicy Food Festival), and of course, the long weekend. While it’s a quieter weekend as many scramble up north for last minute cottaging, there’s still fun to be had in T.O. Happy end of summer!
