This contest runs from September 9th – September 16th, 2011

Food is good, and good food is even better. In this foodie friendly contest yoyomama readers can enter to win a $75 gift certificate from Galloway’s Speciality Foods where you can get good food online and in person at their two Lower Mainland locations.

Galloway’s Speciality Foods has been a Vancouver institution for almost 75 years. Galloway’s began with a cart in a Gastown market where David Galloway sold dried fruit and nuts. On September 16th, 1936 he opened the doors to his store on Seymour at Robson. Since then, the store has moved several times before arriving at the current locations in Richmond and Burnaby. From its humble beginnings as a fruit and nut cart, Galloway’s has grown to carry more than 9,000 items including organic foods , personal care products, soap-making ingredients, baking items and decorations, canning supplies, over 300 spices and of course, dried fruit and nuts.

To celebrate this momentous birthday, Galloway’s is holding a week of celebrations. Stop by either Galloway’s location at 7860 Alderbridge Way in Richmond or #110 8620 Glenlyon Parkway in Burnaby for a week of tastings and special birthday deals. If you can’t make it to the store, check out the new Galloway’s blog to get in on the fun. And on September 16ththey will be holding a party online with hourly prizes, great food tips and more.

For more information on the festivities, check out the Galloway’s website.

To start the party off on the right foot, Galloway’s is offering yoyomama readers the chance to win a $75 gift certificate to Galloway’s!
