the scent of sleep

Sleep. We all need it, we all love it, and more often than not, it’s as elusive as the Loch Ness Monster. And now that the kiddos are heading back to school and moving into a more structured routine, sleep becomes more important than ever. So we’re bringing out our arsenal of sleep aids to help us get those kids back to sleep for back to school.
For a scent-filled solution, we like the Escents Aromatherapy sleep scents, which we first tried when we were pregnant and sleepless. We sprayed the Sleep Aroma Mist in the air and on our pillow, and bolstered the mist’s effectiveness by using some Sleep Roll On at our temples and on the back of our neck. We were pleasantly lulled by the scent of ylang ylang and chamomile filling the air, and found the scents very calming.
We were so impressed with how soothed the essential oils made us, that once our bundle of joy arrived we decided to give the Organic Baby Soothe Collection a try. Our favourites were the Baby Balm for rashes and chaps (used often on our dry hands and baby’s angry diaper rash), and the Baby Oil, which was perfect for nightly relaxing baby massages. We also liked putting the Essential Oil Blend in a diffuser, which was perfect for filling the air with light, soothing scents.
The Baby Soothe products use 100% essential oils and 70% organic ingredients. All the other products are BPA and Paraben free, and are never tested on animals.
While we first tried them pregnant and when our little ones were very wee, we’re still using these products to help get our kids and ourselves calm and ready for sleep. The scents are rather potent, so if you aren’t a lover of strong smells (like ylang ylang), consider trying a milder custom blend with scents like lavender or bergamot, or checking out the Baby Soothe Collection (which can still be used for adults and older kids), which is much more mellow.
With all this talk about sleep…I think we need a nap.
Yo mama…do you love sleep? So do we, which is why we think this articles are dreamy:
