Eating…it’s essential for survival, but many of us find it a challenge to eat healthy when the craziness of life gets in the way.  And for those of us with some ‘baby weight’ still hanging on and taunting us, eating can be a bit of a trial.  In an effort to learn a bit more about our food (and to try and get rid of those last few pounds) we checked out Bodies Under Construction and their E.A.T! program.

E.A.T! equals Education, Action and Transformation.  It’s designed to educate about the role food plays in not only weight loss, but also in how your body looks and feels. It’s a step-by-step, week-by-week program that educates you on everything from putting together a balanced and nutritious meal plan, to helping you discover your power and confidence, to reinventing your relationship with food. E.A.T! is designed to forever get you off the diet rollercoaster and allow you to start living an energetic, confident, enthusiastic, and fit life.

Sounded good to us.

Our tester was feeling particularly down about dieting and was frustrated with previous efforts at losing weight.  She’d undertaken several other programs, but had always felt helpless when it came to improving her energy, mood, and body shape. We signed her up for the 12-week E.A.T! program in an effort to get her back in control and happy about who she is.

She went to the first night feeling nervous and a bit trepiditious, but was reassured when she met Lisa, owner, chief trainer, and food guide at BUC.  She found that Lisa shared her knowledge and experience in a way that made her feel like she was chatting with a friend, as opposed to a diet dictator. Lisa was available at the 12 weekly meetings, and also by phone and email for daily questions, coaching, and guidance.

Our tester was most impressed with the way she felt when she was done the program.  She understands why she made the changes to her eating, and feels that if she goes off track a bit, she has the tools to get back on again.

The E.A.T! program is more expensive than other similar programs out there that also don’t include food, but when we asked our tester if she thought it was worth the investment she said, “This program changed my life.”  Sounds pretty good to us.
