life’s a picnic

When our kids get squirmy and the weather gets sunny, we love nothing better than heading outside for a picnic.

The little ones get a kick out of dining al fresco, and we appreciate how sleepy they get once the picnicking is done.  So to help get your picnic basket ready to go, we’ve gathered some essential gear that makes picnicking a breeze.

Zoli On-the-Go Snack Container
This handy dandy item is perfect for stocking up on finger-sized snacks, like dried fruit and nuts, blueberries, and crackers.  The four separate containers come apart easily (and stack back together),  which is perfect for snack distribution to assorted kiddos, and its size makes it easy to find in a picnic basket (or diaper bag).  It’s also BPA, lead and phthalate free, and its bright colours add fun to any dining adventure.

Green Toys Dish Set
We love our Green Toys.  All their products are made from 100% recycled milk jugs, and they meet the highest safety standards, so they are safe, non-toxic and BPA free.  In the case of this little dish set, it meets FDA food safe standards, so once your kids are done playing with it, you can pack it away in your picnic basket.  The set comes with four little bowls, tea cups, plates and utensils, which we think are the perfect size for little hands just learning to feed themselves, or for slightly bigger hands not quite ready for adult-sized gear.

ONYX Stainless Steel Containers
Sometimes we like our picnics to look pretty, which is why we love using the food serving containers from ONYX.  We like to bring the double walled cup and the double walled bowls that are made with 18/8 grade stainless steel. The double walled construction provides insulation , so the bowls are perfect for veggie dip, yogurt, or other tasty treats that need to stay cool.  ONYX also makes fabulous stainless steel popsicle molds, that are essential for any summer freezer.

Yo, mama…do you love to picnic?  We think you might also like…
