Would a dinner fairy be at the top of your busy mummy wish list? While we have yet to find a way for dinner to make itself, we have discovered SupperSolved: a way to get homemade meals on the table without any planning, shopping, stress, or mess.
Located in Toronto’s west end, SupperSolved makes meal preparation a breeze. They do all the shopping, ingredient prep, and recipe planning – plus give you a place to assemble meals so your kitchen can stay spotless. You simply pick six to 14 entrees from their monthly menu, and book your date and time online. All you need is one or two hours in your schedule, and a desire to fill your freezer with healthy and delicious meals. SupperSolved has a variety of entrée options every month, and there are always vegetarian alternatives for their meat-based recipes.
The SupperSolved kitchen is well organized and clean, with plenty of room to move around each station and easy-to-follow recipe instructions. Ingredients are fresh, you can modify recipes to suit your tastes, and there’s always a staff person available to refill an ingredient or offer recipe tips. There are hand-washing stations throughout the kitchen, and disposable gloves for meat handling. Once the meal is made, you package it in the provided freezer/oven-friendly containers, put on a cooking instruction label, and leave the clean up to SupperSolved. Just remember to bring reusable grocery bags or a laundry hamper to carry out your prepared meals.
Meals can be split at no extra charge, and come in at a very reasonable price per serving –under $5. SupperSolved offers gift certificates, private event hosting, and for an extra fee they’ll assemble your meals for pick-up or delivery. And for mums with new babies, they have a Stork Assembly service, where they put your meals together and waive the assembly fee. You can also grab meals to go, like the kid-inspired “snot loaf”: meatloaf in a miniature pan with a mozzarella stick in the middle. So until we find our own meal-making fairy, SupperSolved will be a regular at our dinner table!
