Every year we hand the conch over to you and ask for your feedback on what you like about what we’re doing, what you’re not so keen on. This year we went a little more in depth with our questions, so thank you for taking the time to let us know how you feel. We thought we’d share some of the results so you know what’s up at yoyo HQ. You’ll have to excuse us, we’ve gone a little long on this one, but you had so many great things to say.

Most of you are trying harder to be greener, but know you have a ways to go (don’t we all!), so in honour of Earth Day this month we’ll have lots and lots of eco-friendly editorial, eco-friendly tips from experts, an Earth Day Gift Guide and a fabulous Earth Day contest to help you on your way. And over half of you have been with us since almost the beginning – thank you! That means your kids are getting older (and ours are too) so keep your eyes peeled for some changes on that front very soon.

You’re also a tech savvy, mobile bunch. So tomorrow look in our diary for our very first Tech Tuesday post. Our tech-obsessed team will be sharing our family-friendly – or mum-friendly – tech finds.

It seems you’re finding your inboxes a bit crowded these days and we have some ideas for reducing that clutter, it’s spring cleaning time after all, we’ll keep you posted! You’re also budget-aware – we get that – so we’ll be looking for more budget-friendly finds as well as more informational articles and info from experts from us, plus you’re all over contests, deals and sample sales.

So we don’t bash the products we don’t like – and many don’t make the cut – we simply don’t mention them at all. We take this very seriously as you can’t trust our content if you don’t trust our integrity.

What is advertising? The sponsored links in the side panels of our emails, our contests and the extra emails we sent that are clearly labeled ‘FYI’ and ‘Dedicated Email’. We work carefully to align ourselves with advertisers of quality products and services, and it is thanks to those valued advertisers that yoyomama keeps on ticking.
