Spring brings many things…flowers, singing birds, frolicking wildlife and warmer weather. And with the warmer weather comes rain. A lot of rain. We hate being trapped indoors by inclement weather, so we are always looking for ways to be able to enjoy the outdoors, even if we get a bit wet. And when you have a baby or toddler in a stroller, keeping everyone warm and dry becomes even more of a challenge. Traditional stroller rain protection can be…well…oddly condom like and really alienating for both baby and parent alike. So we turned to the Buggy Bag.
The Buggy Bag is a sleeve like blanket that wraps around the legs of the stroller bound kidlet. The outer shell is a weather proof and water proof nylon, and it’s lined with soft, cozy fleece. The bag completely encases little legs to protect against the wind and cold and the top edge of the bag is soft and cozy for extra comfort around the face. Many of the cords and straps are adjustable to allow for an extra snuggly fit. The design is versatile to allow for easy movement from stroller to car seat and lets the buggy bag grow with you. We loved how easy the bag was to put on and take off, and we were just a bit jealous of how cozy our toddler tester looked in his buggy bag. We really appreciated the D-ring toy attachment to prevent toy flinging into the inclement conditions.
The bag comes in neutral, red or black to allow for easy stroller colour coordinating and has an added safety reflective strip for low light conditions. While we appreciate the neutrality of the colours, we wish it came in a brighter, more kid friendly range of shades like yellow and green. We understand that the line is expanding, so hopefully brighter colours are in the making. The bag comes in jogger and stroller sizes and is flexible enough to fit on most strollers. It also comes in wheelchair size!
Now, if only they made them in ‘mummy walking in the rain size’, then we’d be really cozy!
