What didn’t you get for Christmas? We find we’ll ask for pedestrian things such as slippers, but our significant other feels those type of gifts just aren’t exciting enough, so we end up with lovely gifts but our feet remain cold. So if slippers were on your wish list but weren’t under your tree, or it’s time for slipper upgrade, than check out Cicciabella’s boot-style slippers (pictured).
The discovery of wish.list Boutique in Kits, who search the world for one-of-kind goodies from handbags to beauty products, these slippers combine sartorial cowboy or animal-print elegance with cozy warmth. And you can get matching mini ones for your tots. So if your kids are like ours and eschew slippers at every turn and then rub their cold little feet on you, a pair of these might be just the ticket. Our cold-footed mini tester doesn’t have a pair of her own (yet) but she likes to trounce about in ours.
Made of embroidered faux suede and real feeling – but fake – sheepskin, these slippers have a sole that’s hearty enough to withstand a trip outside to take out the trash or bring in the mail. The only thing is they don’t have a heap of support in the footbed, so if you’re in slippers a lot – like us – you may want to alternate them with something more supportive throughout the day. Unless it’s really cold, in which case you’ll never want to take them off.
They come in women’s sizes from 6 ½ to 10 ½ and a child’s 12 to 5/6. Alas, they did put the rest of our leisure wear to shame but we’re hoping that everyone will be so smitten with our slippers they won’t notice the rest of our leisure ensemble.
These would be great to add to a Valentine’s wish list (sorry, we couldn’t resist). But if your significant other baulks and wants to get you something that’s “sexy” remind them that warm feet are romantic.

Yo, mama! Looking for other Valentine’s ideas for you? We think these are love-ly:
Hi there.
I went to the wish list boutique website and can’t find the slippers (:-(). Where would I need to look?
Thanks
Hi Martina – alas they don’t have an online store, they’re only available in store. Which is both refreshing & irritating at the same time! I’d suggest calling them for more info. All their contact info should be at the bottom of the article.
Thanks,
Annemarie
