Come Valentine’s Day you’ll need to have cards in hand for all the kids in your child’s preschool, daycare or kindergarten, as well as everyone else they love. While crafty mamas may already be in full on card making mode, others (like us) often end up at the drugstore choosing from a depleted selection of cards bedecked with licensed characters.
So we sought to solve the problem by teaming up with one of our favourite crafty mama, Keri Zingle from Craft Caravan, to bring you a make-your-own Valentine’s Rebus.
Not only do these make designing your own cards easy but solving these pictorial and word puzzles is a fun way to while away a miserable winter afternoon with your kids. All you have to do is set your kids to colouring, match the pictures to the sentence, cut ‘em out, put ‘em together and include them in your Valentine’s card or turn them into a Valentine’s letter, which is sure to be a hit when far away relatives receive them in the mail.
And we ran this early in the month to give you lots of crafty time and to make sure your love letters make it to the postbox in plenty of time for the big day!
