Iron-Kids-Vitamins

Toast with jam for breakfast. Grilled cheese for lunch. Chicken fingers for dinner. Repeat, seven days a week. Picky eater on your hands? Don’t worry – IronKids has a gummy vitamin for that.

Worrying about what our kids are, or aren’t, eating is a normal part of parenthood. Whether their diet consists of one food group only, or they frequently go on hunger strikes, it can be a challenge to get the good stuff in. That’s one of the main reasons Stuart Lowther, founder of Life Science Nutritionals and creator of IronKids vitamins, started his company in 2005. As a dad to three daughters, Stuart was passionate about supporting childhood health, and as a parent he wanted to offer others a product they could feel good about giving their kids. IronKids vitamins contain nothing artificial. Plus, with only 2 grams of sugar and 8 calories per serving, these vitamins are as tasty as candy without the downsides.

Available in Multivitamin, Omega 3, Calcium and Vitamin D formulations, IronKids gummies are naturally flavoured and coloured. Our kiddie testers took to these vitamins right away – and we understand why. They’re satisfyingly tasty and chewy, and so easy to take. Which is why we’re glad they’re coming out with adult versions soon (Spring 2011) – now we won’t have to sneak our kids’ vitamin stash! The only formulation that garnered less enthused reviews (both kid and adult testers) was the Omega Bursts, which have a higher concentration of Omega 3s and are intended for kids over the age of six.

Every ingredient in IronKids is tested independently for quality and purity before being used in production. And the formulation of the vitamins is based on guidelines set by Health Canada and recommended by pediatricians. So while a healthy and varied diet is best, we know every little bit helps. Which is why IronKids gummy vitamins will be a staple in our kitchen cupboard.

You can find IronKids vitamins in select grocery and drugstores, and independent health food stores across Canada.
