cloth-daipers

Babies may be awfully cute, but they also ooze, smell and simply won’t pick up after themselves.  Diapers are a necessary accessory for controlling some of that mess but whether you choose cloth, disposable or a hybrid, mastering the world of diapers can be a challenge.  What do you choose?  How many do you need?  When will potty training begin? Well we can’t answer all those questions for you, but we can share a bit about something we know a lot about – cloth diapers.

There are many reasons to choose cloth diapers, environmental impact, costs savings and, of course, fashion.  What’s cuter then your a little bundle of joy with a brightly patterned cloth diapered bum? Such as these fabulous cloth diapers from AMP.

AMP cloth diapers are made by a Canadian mum of five who used her many years of experience to come up with her designs.  We tried out the AMP duo pocket diaper. The soft gathers on the elastic legs made our skinny little tester very comfortable and proved to be extremely leak-proof for both play and sleep time.  We loved that we could choose to use our own inserts from other diapers in our stash and we found that the pre-folds we had hanging around the house were a great super absorbent insert option.  Because of the ‘no insert’ option, the price point on the AMPs is lower than comparable diapers, which we think is just brilliant. The diapers washed up beautifully and dried in almost no time, which makes cleaning and storing them a breeze.

AMP diapers are made in Winnipeg and available from Hip Baby and other great retailers across Canada. And they also make other ingenious diapering solutions.

We get lots of great cloth and eco-friendly diapering options across our desk to review, but we know that not all of you are still dealing with this stage of life, so we don’t want to overwhelm you with diaper discourse.  So Erin, our Director of Sales and Marketing, our self-proclaimed yoyo Diaper Diva will move the diaper convo over to our diary, starting today with her review of Gro-Via cloth diapers! We’ll keep you posted when she adds her diaper feedback and ‘til then here’s to happy baby bums!
