When we were little we remember searching through the rows of personalized pencils, erasers and stickers looking for our name to no avail.  We were that kid, the one with the less than conventional name. The kid that was out of luck when it came to cool gear with our name on it. And that was back in the day, names are even more imaginative now. Apple anyone?

The folks behind Stuck on You, who’ve been creating labels for kids’ clothes, lunchboxes, pens and pencils for years now, have addressed this problem by adding fun personalized products such as lunch boxes, canvases, height charts and more to their offerings. Now even kids named Pilot Inspektor can have a monogrammed set of jammies!

We sent away for a height chart and a knapsack personalized with the names of two of our tiny testers. After being custom-printed at Stuck On You HQ the goodies arrived in just over two weeks.

The recipient of the height chart was just one, so a little speechless, but his mum was thrilled that the chart was metric, brightly coloured and printed with cars, trucks and her son’s name for all to see.  The chart also came with handy stickers indicating different milestones like first birthday and first Christmas to give context to the measurements and give subtle hints of when’s a good time to measure your tot. Something we’ve not been very consistent about.

Our other tester tried out a personalized back pack. The backpack itself was more than big enough to use as an overnight bag or toy tote and it was emblazoned with this young lad’s name printed over an extremely cool VW bus. Best of all he was so excited to receive something with his name printed on it that he wrote a thank you letter to Stuck on You for making something just for him. We figure anything that gets our kids to write thank you cards has to be a good thing…
