We always make Christmas Morning wifesaver for breakfast christmas morning. It has been going on in my family for at least 30 years now.. quite possibly more.
Also we always get one gift on Christmas eve and it is always the PJ’s you were for the night and wake up in on the magical morning of Christmas.
One of our family traditions is the “Kris Kringle” gift exchange. We all by a unisex gift for $20.00 and pull names out of a hat to open. This tradition makes Christmas such a laugh, some people buy the funniest gifts and it’s a time for us all to laugh, bond, and enjoy our time together – and it makes Christmas a little less expensive! Even the little ones get to open a gift:)
Well our tradition is the 6;30 am opening of the Christmas Stocking,My kids are grown adults now and still they come home early Christmas morning to open the stockings, much delight over the thrift store gift they each receive and tons of chocolate.waffles peaches and whipped cream to be had by all,so this year we will be teaching the grandson the tradition and the following year there will be two more…so exciting

We have a huge “Feast” on Christmas Eve and all our friends and family come over and nibble and play and chat…then stockings, new PJS from Santa and tuckins before that long long night of sleep!
Christmas Eve has always been special to me as all my family gets together with their children for a wonderful dinner & celebration. Nothing could be more special than seeing my 2 little boys excitement on Christmas morning.
My favourite traditions: finding the perfect tree; placing the homemade decorations just right; looking at lights on houses; making a gingerbread house; waking up to the little ones(3 and 5) screaming “Santa was here! Santa was here” and watching them open presents; my hubby would be frantically reaching for the video camera while making us (special) coffees; then head to gma and gpas for yet more presents, contributing to an amazing meal and giving my brother a smooch and wishing him a happy birthday!
A favourite tradition of ours is getting our picture taken with Santa. Growing up, every year my sister and I used to pose with Santa. This became a tad embaressing in our teenage years when our parents still expected us to keep the tradition alive. When we both moved out of the country my parents started going themselves and sending us their picture. Now we have resumed the tradition en famille. Now it is my parents, my sister and I, our spouses, our sons, and this year adding our baby daughters. Poor Santa endures a load on his lap and a crowd of us around him – and passerbys always have a great chuckle.
My favourite holiday tradition is having Chinese Food on Christmas Eve with my family and opening one gift each. Now that it’s my son’s second Christmas, we’ll be making some new traditions!
One of my favorite traditions is going on the Stanley Park Christmas train and visiting Santa there. Two years ago we told Santa I was pregnant. Last year we introduced Santa to our baby boy and we will be back again for him to see our toddler, this year. Also, every Christmas our family gets together and we all decorate a gingerbread house. I always get a kick at seeing everyone get involved and watch people sneak the candies:)

Favorite moment: sitting in a totally dark room admiring the lit tree with my boy on Christmas eve!
I think my favourite Xmas tradition as a kid was the stockings. My mom would put a lot of thought into all the little gifts that went into them, plus the chocolate, candy cane hanging out the top & a mandarin orange in the toe. These were the only gifts we were allowed to open before mom & dad woke up Xmas morning.
My favorite tradition is Christmas eve with Uncle Rudy and Auntie Marie! We don’t see them enough during the year, but I always look forward to seeing them at Christmas Eve. I’m so glad I can continue this tradition with my son now.
When I was growing up, my favourite tradition was going on a walk after Christmas dinner with the family (kids, parents, uncles, aunts, cousins) to see the lights, then coming back to sing Christmas carols with either my uncle or mom playing the piano. Now we live far away from the family, but we are starting our own traditions, including having an advent village, in which each day we open a door to a little compartment and find an ornament to hang on one of the houses. It is a big hit especially with my four-year-old daughter, and hopefully will be with her baby brother too.
One of our favourite holiday traditions is to get up really early on Christmas Day and have raisin french toast. We do this every year. It has become even more special now that we have moved out of our parents’ homes and have families of our own. When we all get together at my parents’ house for Christmas, it is a very special time for all of us.
Our favourite family tradition is baking for family and friends. We put on the carols, sing, dance and mix up some treats (and play along to the music with wooden spoons banging on metal bowls). My little guy is happy and entertained and my big guy (dad) gets to help and sample!
Christmas is my most favourite time of year for sure! Being a Mom to four young children can be hard finacially at times especially during the holidays but we make it work. I love taking the kids out for a crisp evening walk to look at all the houses that are lit up in the neighbourhood. Also doing the Christmas baking together! This year we are going to add something new! We are going to start making our own tree ornaments! Should be fun! My only wish is that one year I can pay it forward to all the people that have helped out our family during the hard times.
