Every November 11th Torontonians, along with others around the world, gather to commemorate, honour and remember those who made sacrifices during war times. Remembrance Day, the 11th day of the 11th month, marks the end of World War I, and reinforces hope for the peaceful world we want to pass on to future generations. The city runs a number of ceremonies throughout the GTA, and other organizations also hold events. Oh and we love the fact that there’s an app for that, yes there’s a Canadian Remembrance Day iPhone App listing ceremonies near you and more.
