When you’re nursing and have young tots your go-to outfit is often jammies. Or at least ours was. Which is why we think it’s worth investing in PJs that are not only comfy but make you feel good. And isn’t it time to turf that grotty tee from the ‘90s you’ve been sleeping in? Why not replace it with Canadian-made Kaia and Me jammies that make you feel good both personally and environmentally?

Made from silky soft bamboo fabric which is naturally anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and wicks away moisture, Kaia and Me started out producing scarves and leggings but recently moved into lingerie including undies, soft bras and PJ tops and bottoms all in vibrant, chakra-inspired colours. We like that bamboo fabrics come from a sustainable source and are biodegradable and that all Kaia and Me clothes are made ethically in Canada.

We found the PJ top and bottom combo, which come trimmed with a non-itchy lace made from modal, so comfy and flattering that our tot actually asked why we were wearing our clothes to bed. Which means this is one set of jammies you won’t be embarrassed to be caught in when receiving visitors at the hospital or opening the door when the postman arriving bearing new baby gifts. As he inevitably does when you’ve just sat down to nurse.

The whole line fits small, we’d say up to full size larger than you’d normally wear. And everything’s machine washable but has to be hung to dry which means you can’t wear them day in and night out. Which you’ll want to do.

The moisture-wicking thing is awfully handy if – or should we say when – you’re suffering from leaky breasts, hot flashes or night sweats post partum. And there’s definitely sometime to be said for feeling put together even when you’ve literally just gotten out of bed.
