little fall must haves

Fall’s officially here and after the long weekend things will be returning to normal schedule-wise, so it seems timely to share some of our favourite small fall accessories:

If you’ve got a gangly little one then you know that no matter how many buttons and elastic inside their pants, sometimes they just don’t stay up. And that’s where Beltz4kidz come to the rescue. These Canadian-made belts use environmentally-friendly processes and materials and they’re lead-free.

The leather belts come with a funky selection of buckles ranging from cupcakes to candy apples and guitars to hockey players and look like adult belts except they fasten with an easy snap attachment, meaning kids can get them on (and off!) easily. For kids from 12 months right on up to tweens, we’ve found their size chart is spot on.

We have a bit of a love hate relationship with Crocs. We love how comfy they are. We’re not so keen on how they look. And then we found Crocband Sneaks for Kids. These super-cute sneaks have a retro style and they’re light and slip on and off easily by pulling out the tongue. Because they don’t absorb water they’re perfect for fall weather as even if your little one’s feet get wet (they have a few holes in the top in true croc style so getting wet is easy) you can just shake it off and shake the shoes out.  We like that they come in a whole range of colours too, from navy and red to pink and white.

And if you’re trying to tame your little one’s locks – sorry, this one’s for girls only, for a funky topper for boys check out Monday’s yoyo – look no farther than girly hair accessories from giddy giddy. They create felt clips for infants and toddlers in featuring everything from animals to popsicles to flowers. But we’re particularly fond of their headbands, which fit little heads well without pinching and they stay put. And we’re keeping an eye on their hat and pouch collections. Although they’re based in the US they are easy to find in Canada as well.

Now if only we could snag some of these in adult sizes as well we’d have our own fall accessories covered as well…
