chillin’ it monkey style
Last week was all about lunches and this week we’ve got lots of style, starting with one for the boys, which is something we just don’t get to say often enough because let’s face it, boys clothes just aren’t as fun. Yes, there are awesome overalls, little jeans, cool tees and such, but girls have it covered with tutus, sparkly shoes and hair ribbons. There are only so many items of clothing covered in trucks, bulldozers and cartoon characters that one little man wardrobe can take. Lets face it… boys need cool and fun too!
Which is where newly launched Chill Monkeys comes into play.
Chill Monkeys was started by Vancouver’s Alexis Hinde who is the proud mom of a very stylish little boy. When she shopped for his clothes, she too noticed the absence of un-logoed, fun, stylish little man duds, and thus Chill Monkeys was born.
The first item in the Chill Monkeys collection is a dashing newsboy cap in an assortment of vintage manly fabrics. Her whole collection is inspired by classic men’s style, timeless toys, historic photographs and the traditional world of hand tailoring. Each Chill Monkeys hat has been engineered by hand and made in Canada. The hats are limited edition, allowing your little man’s fashion to be as individual as he is. We even know some girls who are honing in on the action and rocking it Chill Monkeys style, which seems just a titch unfair.
Our tester is a hat hater, except when it comes to his Chill Monkeys cap. Its light enough for a cooler summer day and will be perfect for the fall and even mild winter days. It’s comfy, soft and just plain cool. So cool in fact that his male relatives keep trying to steal it from him and asking if they can get one in their size. Perhaps in their next collection?
