Dedicated Email: What To Do For Father’s Day
Filed Under Dedicated Emails | June 15, 2010
Looking for something to do on Father’s Day that’ll be heaps of fun but require no planning on your part? All you have to do is show up at The Village at Park Royal for a day of family fun.
On Saturday, June 19th from 11 am to 3 pm the Village will be hopping with dad-themed family fun. Whole Foods will be hosting a Hot Dog BBQ featuring all natural hot dogs for just $1 each and you can add on a real fruit popsicle for another $.50. You can also catch live music from pop duo Noah Nine who’ll be playing hits from the 60s through to today. Golfing daddies will want to try the Longest Drive Competition and the 9 hole mini golf course while grilling daddies can catch grill demos by the legendary “Rockin’ Ronnie” and fabulous Chef Ann Kirsebom.
And it’s a not a fun day out for you if there’s not something in it for the kids and Park Royal has that covered too. Magicians Matthew Johnson and Zany Zack will amaze your tots and there’ll also be balloon twisters, face painters, crafts and a chance for kids to have their photo taken with their dad at the North Shore Credit Union Tent. Whole Foods will be putting on an outdoor market showcasing local and organic products – including lots of samples.
If you can’t make Saturday’s event the Village at Park Royal is always a fun place to visit. It’s a little oasis of outdoor shopping and dining that blends village charm with West Coast elegance. They’ve got over 40 fashion, food and living shops, lots of kid-friendly cafes and restaurants and a great outdoor space for kids to run around in and let off excess energy. It’s a big city shopping centre with a lovely village vibe.
Plus there are lots other fun events happening in The Village all summer long. Check out shopparkroyal.com/events for details on upcoming summer fun.
