Summertime and the living is easy. Fish are jumping and…well…you get the picture.
In the name of all that is fun in the sun, we have a yoyomama kid-friendly and mama-approved song list featuring music the whole family will love that’s perfect for rolling down the windows, turning up the volume and cruising to the playground.
fun – All the Pretty Girls
Seriously. The band’s name is fun. Enough said.
Dragonette* – Pick up the phone
Dragonette is sure to remind you of your golden years listening to Blondie-glam girl rock.
Divine Brown* – Lay it on the Line
A litle bit of funk and a little bit of soul combine to make a whole lot of awesome. Etta would be proud.
Charlie Winston – In Your Hands
Old voice, young guy, amazing sound. If you like this song, check out I Love Your Smile, it’s a great lullaby. And he’s awfully cute too. Just saying.
John Butler Trio – One Way Road
A stand up bass, catchy lyrics, good rhythm and a smoky voice make for a great song.
Michael Franti - Say Hey (I love you)
We defy you to listen to this song and not smile or sing along. Rap/reggae/pop fusion of danceablity!
Xavier Rudd - Twist
World surf music with heart. Rock and roll digeridoo. We are not making that up.
