What’s in your diaper bag? We’re guessing diapers, wipes, a change pad, extra clothes, receiving blankets, snacks, your cell, your wallet…the list goes on. You probably always have a good idea of the inventory inside your bag, but what about what’s on it? After being toted in and out of washrooms, sitting on floors and benches, being stuffed under strollers and more, the outside of your bag can harbour more bacteria than a toilet seat. Which is why we’re now using RuMe’s new ALL bag, which is, among other things, washable.
Though not designed as a diaper bag per se, we think the ALL makes a great addition to your diaper lugging collection. Big enough to fit everything you need for a day, it has two side exterior pockets which work well for carrying bottles – yours or your babe’s – and the centre zip pocket keeps your cell phone or wallet secure. The main compartment also zips shut and the bag has handy non-slip shoulder pads. It also rolls up nice and small so you can also use it as a reusable shopping bag, plus you can get it in all sorts of colours, from basic black to vibrant fuchsia.
After giving the ALL a thorough, stuff-laden workout we appreciate that it only weighs three ounces – but carries up to 50 lbs – which means it’s not bulky and doesn’t weigh you down (even more). And it multi-tasks, you can use it for diaper bag, gym bag or daily tote. The only downside we found was that it’s quite capacious so the lack of dividers inside can make it hard to retrieve things in a hurry when you’ve got it stuffed full.
We also appreciate that RuMe designs and packages their bags with a no-waste philosophy and manufactures them in a South Korean government certified Fair Trade factory. But back to washability. We frequently throw ours into the wash, not just because of the many dirty places it’s rested, but also because of the frequent and potentially messy drinks, snacks and dirty diapers we carry around inside it…

I absolutely LOVE my RuMe ALL bag! It is so versatile and great for toting around especially when i’m on the run all day. I put my Klean Kanteen Insulated in one pocket and my reusable bottle in the other – I know it can fit everything I will need for a long excursion.
