gone but not forgotten

Well, their bricks and mortar location may be no longer, but that doesn’t mean that one of our favourite shopping destinations, Honeybunch, is denied to us. Instead they’ve gone back to their online roots and are purveying all their great wares virtually rather than in reality.

Why do we like them so much? Because owner Nicole Morell has curated a lovely selection of goodies for just about every occasion. Spring is springing so you can stock up on gardening gear for you and your tots. Need a teacher gift for the end of the school year? They’ve got great personalized pressies. Planning a party? There’s everything you need from invites to goodie bags to banners to games. We just wish we could serve their knitted  cupcakes at our next party, it would make the clean up so much easier.

Speaking of things coming up fast, Mother’s Day will be here in a scant few weeks and Honeybunch has a lovely little selection of personalized gifts just for us. We’re torn between hand-stamped necklaces bearing the names of our little ones, calling cards we can distribute to the mums we meet at playgroup or family-friendly address labels. If one of them strikes your fancy be sure to let that special someone who should be fêteing you on May 9th know ASAP as personalized orders take a little longer to process than regular orders.

We also appreciate their customer service, reasonable shipping rates for Ontario residents – including free delivery within part of west-end Toronto – and eye for unusual (and battery-free) toys and games.

And as much as we love reality shopping (and loved the “real” Honeybunch), online boutiques can be awfully handy. After all you can browse through them in your PJs after the kids are abed. Or while drinking wine or nibbling chocolate. And you never have to worry about naptimes, parking or meltdowns…
