walking on sunshine
As the chilly winter weather fades and the unpredictable, rainy days of spring take over we all need a little something to lift our mood and put a bounce back into our steps. If you’re a mama in desperate need of rejuvenation – and really, do you know a mum who isn’t? – then you’ll want to check out the Sunny Mummy Spa.
Open for just over a year, the Sunny Mummy Spa boasts not only a spa (of course) but also a lovely boutique at the front of the sunlit space stocked with games and accessories for little ones that have all been made by local mums. However, we think their best offering is their on-site childcare. Included with your treatments, mums with kids from newborns to ten-years-old can leave them in the hands of staff who will make each child’s visit so entertaining that they will beg to go back.
Owned and operated by local mum Nilla Petta, every detail speaks to her commitment to alleviate mummy-stress. Not only were we pampered from the moment that we walked into the door, but we could relax and enjoy our treatment knowing that our kids were in capable hands. The kid’s room is stocked with everything from floor mats for infants to games and books for older kids and it’s cleaned and inspected daily. The pedicure basins run on salt and water instead of jets (which can contain bacteria), they cleanse or dispose of all their tools after each use and the large bathroom not only fits a stroller, but is well stocked with diapers, wipes, diaper creams and a potty.
So if you could use a little pick you up – with childcare included – the Sunny Mummy Spa takes care of all the details so that you don’t have to. After all, a sunny mummy is a happy mummy – and that means everyone in your family will be happier too.
