best of 2009: stuff
Amongst all the hustle and bustle of the holidays, it’s also a time for appreciation and reflection. For us it’s been a big year as we’ve had lots of growth and juggling and possibly even a titch of sibling rivalry with the birth of yoyobelly.ca last February.
Who do we appreciate? You! Our smart, funny, inquiring and inspiring readers.
And what are we reflecting upon? Your favourite stories from the past year. Thanks to all of you who took the time to vote and without further ado, here is your top pick for 2009 in stuff.
Lunch must be on your minds as your top pick in stuff was our list of handy lunch boxes which we featured as part of our back to school editorial. Our LunchBots Pico is still in heavy rotation and we still hanker after an OOTS Lunchbox just for ourselves.
We know you’re always on the hunt for safer food storing and toting options, so we wanted to let you know about Dabbawalla’s lunch bag. Made of naturally-insulating, water-resistant neoprene that’s lead and PVC-free, these lunch bags are soft so they can be used for snacks or lunches without wasting space. They’re also machine-washable and durable which makes them eminently practical while the fun designs – apples, bugs and monkeys – make them enticing to tots.
We look forward to sussing out more great stuff in the New Year. Till then, happy holidays and all the best for a healthy, fun 2010!
