Amongst all the hustle and bustle of the holidays, it’s also a time for appreciation and reflection. For us it’s been a big year as we’ve had lots of growth and juggling and possibly even a titch of sibling rivalry with the birth of yoyobelly.ca last February.

Who do we appreciate? You! Our smart, funny, inquiring and inspiring readers.

And what are we reflecting upon? Your favourite stories from the past year.  Thanks to all of you who took the time to vote and without further ado, here was your top pick for 2009 in multi-tasking:

Like us you’re big fans of Wysi™ Wipes. Our kids have dubbed these “magic clothes” as they miraculously expand from what looks like a large mint into a square cloth when you add water. Since we wrote about them we’ve also discovered they’re also reusable – depending on how soiled they are – you can just wash them and use them once or twice more.

Speaking of things that multi-task and that you can use again and again, Lunapanties, organic cotton and spandex undies that come with a built-in 100% organic padded gusset, are perfect for a little bit of everyday backup. From Lunapads, a local company specializing in eco-friendly feminine hygiene accessories like cloth menstrual pads and the Diva Cup, Lunapanties are perfect if you suffer from light incontinence (one of those fun symptoms that can afflict mamas!) or instead of pantyliners on “light days”. Huh, we never thought we’d use the term “light days” in our editorial but then till we tried Lunapanties we were a titch leary of reusable feminine hygiene products as well.

We look forward to bringing you more great multi-tasking finds in the New Year. Till then, safe and happy holidays and all the best for a healthy, fun 2010!
