art of the living dead
In the spirit of Halloween we have a fun (and easy) – and just a titch scary – art project that you can undertake with your tots. Most of the supplies needed are probably things you already have at home and in the spirit of trying something new we’ve included step by step photos to guide you, so let us know what you think.
Not So Scary Zombie
You’ll need:
- some long scraps of fabric (1inch wide, 12 inches long, approximately)
- some buttons or googly eyes
- a marker or a ribbon scrap
- white glue
- 1 toilet paper roll
- Scissors
How to:
Gather your Zombie making materials.
Make two cuts on each side of your paper roll, about half an inch wide and 2.5 inches tall. These will be slightly folded outwards for your Zombie’s arm
Gather some strips of fabric, and put a little glue in the top of the roll. Gently wrap the zombie’s body and arms until the paper roll is completely covered.
Save two strips to glue on the bottom for legs.
Add some button or googly eyes, use some ribbon scraps or a marker to make a mouth and then find a spot to hang or sit your Zombie.
Thanks to Erin from Collage Collage for the handy, dandy guide to zombie making.
