This contest is now closed, it ran from October 1st to 31st, 2009.

This month North Van’s Munch Restaurant is giving away two great prizes – dinner for your family every month for a year (that’s a $600 value) and a free latte every day for a year (that’s a $1460 value)!

Munch Restaurant prides themselves on offering a stress-free, delightful family outing featuring togetherness, play and wonderful food. Their huge play space is stocked with great toys to keep your tots entertained – no need to bring along crayons and paper. Mid-week menu specials include their signature Chicken Curry and a Corona or a hearty English Cumberland Sausage with Yukon, sweet potato and carrot mash with a Honey Brown Ale – both for just $15. And new to their menu for fall is Seared beef Carpacio with shaved Parmesan, capers, arugula and truffle aioli, and so much more. All their food is made in-house right down to their pestos, sauces, salsas, vinaigrettes, aioli and even their focaccia bread.  Check out all the yummy details at: www.munchmunch.ca/food.html

So how can you get in on these delicious prizes? Stop in for dinner after 3 pm from Monday to Thursday from now through October 31st and just tell them yoyomama sent you and you’ll be entered into the draw for dinner or lattes. The first winner drawn will get to choose which prize they’d prefer.  You’ll also get a chance to win a $100 dining gift certificate by joining Munch on Facebook or following them on twitter. Again, just be sure to let them know yoyomama sent you.

Please note: To be eligible for this contest you must use valid email address as that is how we’ll contact the winner.

What a great idea to have a place for the kids to play while they wait for the food! and such great healthy choices!

wow what a great contest!! we would love to try it out… it looks like a great space for the kids… does that mean I might actually get to enjoy a hot meal with my husband without finding a babysitter?

  3. Catherine on October 5th, 2009 8:12 am

I have been dying to go there with the kids. It isn’t often you find a space that is kid friendly

Its so important for kids to learn the polite conventions of eating out but it can sometimes put a strain on them! Munch definitely is the easy entry to Dining out with kids.

What a great prize. We’d love to win the monthly dinners.

  8. Jackie on October 6th, 2009 9:49 am

It is a great idea, i wish it was in my neighborhood, but when i went they were out of most of the food on the menu! And the service was very slow, at least the kids were entratained

Great lattes, fantastic play place for a busy toddler and for my 13 month I wouldn’t order him the 9.99 meal again but I would order something for me and share it with him. It was good food but not appropriate for him. The chicken sandwich my friend had looked great and easy to share bits with your babe.

Holy cow, dinner AND the kids? that is such a brilliant idea. And, I don’t have to cook. We hope to try it out!

  21. Shelley P. on October 17th, 2009 8:19 am

Dinner and lattes for a giveaway?! The food sounds scrumptious and I know our family would love it!

  22. Mary on October 17th, 2009 9:16 am

Havent tried this place yet but it does look appealing. I love that you have real food for kids too, not the usual ‘kid menu’ full of processed food.

  23. D. Cumiskey on October 17th, 2009 7:35 pm

Went to this restaurant today…yes it is a great place for kids. However – Food is overpriced and under portioned. (Eggs came with ONE slice of bacon??!) Service was very slow and the bathrooms were a mess. Sorry Munch won’t be coming again.

  24. harjoat on October 19th, 2009 9:14 am

I went with friends and we had a great time, we’d reccomend it

I always wanted to try it, go for a hike in lynn canyon with my children and then treat ourself there, we’ll do it soon

  27. luciana on October 19th, 2009 9:17 am

I love that it is thought for both adult and children, everyone can have a good time and great dinning experience, I don’t know of any other place that offers that

  28. Victoria on October 19th, 2009 12:15 pm

While visiting in the Lower Mainland from our home in Kamloops, we made a point of dining at Munch…easily the BEST meal I have had in years ie “top of the line”. My daughter had an absolute blast playing with the toys. What an incredibly relaxed atmosphere. I’d reccommend Munch to anyone looking for a special family meal.

  29. jem on October 20th, 2009 9:12 am

Can’t wait to try a restaurant that is so child friendly! The food looks great too!

  30. Shona on October 20th, 2009 11:04 am

I love Munch!! I even have some business meetings there! Great place to be a mom and an entrepreneur.
The best thing though is the super healthy and yum choices for my kids to eat.

  31. Amanda Ladas on October 20th, 2009 10:42 pm

Oh my. I only wish I had read this letter BEFORE putting in the frozen lasagna for dinner tonight. Munch sounds fantastic and worth fighting the bridge traffic for!!! The possibility of dinner for a year means sweet dreams for mommy tonight ;)

  32. Michele on October 20th, 2009 10:47 pm

I’ve heard so many wonderful things about Munch. The atmosphere and food sound perfect for our ‘can’t sit still toddler’.

  33. Emma on October 21st, 2009 7:22 am

I am in LOVE with this place!!! The owners have thought of everything and my family (yes ALL of us) has a great time dining there. What other family restaurants serve up Bison and other delightful dishes using the likes of truffle etc. I don’t think that its expensive at all considering the quality ingredients and the massive amazing play space for my children……hey Munch please open up more locations!!!!

  34. David on October 23rd, 2009 9:19 am

We have never been to the restaurant but after reading about it, we like very much to go try out their food with our kids!

  35. Tara on October 25th, 2009 9:33 am
