Accessories for kids tend to be fabulous and fun but when it comes to mamas they run more toward sensible than sensational, which is why we’re quite taken with Modish Tones’ line of grosgrain ribbon keyrings and lanyards which combine fashion with function.
No matter how organized we are when we set out on our daily excursions, we seem to constantly lose our keys, cameras and cell phones in the commodious depths of whatever bag we’re carrying or in the cracks and crevices of our stroller. And we suspect it was the same for Alberta mama, Shauna Cooper, who created her Modish Tones line to make it easier to lay your hands on those things you need to access immediately.
Cooper has designed everything from bracelets to neck lanyards, but we’ve found her Key Ring Wrist Lanyard the most useful. It can be clipped to any bag that has a loop or ring on it and the ribbon’s long enough that you can tuck your keys securely inside and then just haul them out when you need them. No more digging around! The ribbon’s long enough that you can unlock doors without needing to detach it, but the easy-to-maneuver trigger hook means it detaches and attaches quickly, so you’re not driving with your purse dangling from the steering column. Plus you can secure it around your wrist when your hands are full – trekking from the grocery store checkout to the car for example – which cuts down on juggling.
And all their products are completely customizable. You choose your style of ribbon – everything from solid colours to animal, sport and candy-themed prints, the style of hardware you need (they offer universal strings as well, which are great for cameras and cell phones), whether or not you want a bit of bling or any charms, and they’ll put it all together for you.
So why not make it all about you for a change?

This seems like a great idea. I love how stylish they are and how accommodating Modish Tones is to my taste :-)
