Pregnant mamas facing fall and winter weather also face the dilemma of whether or not to invest in a maternity winter coat. After all you need to keep warm, but the cost-per-wear can be pretty high. Which is why we think these multi-tasking button wraps from local designer Chloe Angus make a great eco-chic addition to your pre (and post) natal wardrobe.
We love these because they take you through belly to beyond. While pregnant this handy wrap can be layered over pretty much anything you’re wearing – from jeans to work outfits – for added oomph and warmth. And because it’s not fitted you can wear it from your first trimester to your last. Heck, you could even pack it in your hospital bag to wear as a bed jacket while receiving visitors.
But it’s also a very handy accessory for new mums. Use it as nursing cover. Or to cover up your baby when they’re in the carrier. The buttons mean it will stay put and you can just fling it on and not have to pack or fuss with extra accessories. Oh, and it’s machine washable, which is key for new mamas.
Want to see just how versatile these wraps are? They’ve got a video on their site showing myriad ways you can wear this baby.
You can snag one in wool or bamboo in heaps of colours, everything from black to berry. We’re partial to the bamboo versions ourselves. They also come in two different adult sizes – regular and long. And if you want to be all matchy matchy you can get them in two different kid sizes as well.
Ahh, now you’re all wrapped up for fall.
