We stumbled across the Home Grow-In Grocer on a quest for something else, and what a lucky stumble it was. Tucked away on the corner of 18th and Columbia, they quietly opened three months ago and have fast become not just a neighborhood fixture but also a shopping destination for those from farther afield.

Due dates are a funny thing. Despite knowing, rationally, that our baby is likely to be born anytime in the month around our due date, we look forward to the big day with anticipation hoping that our baby will be “on time.”

There’s something satisfyingly cyclical about a potty that can be planted or composted once your tot’s finished their toilet training. That’s right, once the very cool Becopotty has done its duty you can drill a few holes in the bottom, bury it in the earth and it will biodegrade over a few years. Or add it to your compost heap. We also think it’d make a pretty darn funky planter – now that’d be a conversation piece.
