bib(btity) bobbety you

Fancy yourself a designer? Here’s your chance to put your skills to the test creating a product for your babe that’s not just eminently useful, but as unique as they are. Local company Mally Bibs, well-known for their hard-wearing leather bibs, now offers them in personalized designs.
And it’s easy. Just visit their online store where you’ll be led through the process of picking and choosing just the right colours and designs for your child. But be warned, with 56 designs, two different sizes, 17 colour options and upper or lowercase font to choose from, your design skills will be put to the test. But just as you chose between Chloe or Kloé and Joshua or Joshau, we know you’ll be able to choose the perfect bib too.
Mally Bibs don’t need to be washed between each use so you really only need just one. For meal times, anyhow. To clean them you just wipe them down, which is both easy and environmentally-friendly as it cuts down on laundry. And nothing stains them. We even slathered ours with spaghetti sauce so we could say that in good conscience. And their handy magnetic clasp is multi-functional. It doesn’t just allow you to adjust the bib for a perfect fit around your baby’s neck, but you can also stick your bib to your fridge – which is a handy place to store it. Plus the clasp won’t tangle in your tot’s hair or irritate their skin as ties and Velcro tend to do.
Admittedly these aren’t the cheapest bibs in town, but since you don’t need an entire collection and they don’t take up much storage space, we think they’re worth it. And they make great shower and birthday gifts too. Just a note, it may be tempting to go with the larger, toddler size for infants for them to “grow into” but the bibs really do work better when they fit well.
And when you pop yours onto the fridge just think of it as the beginning of your fridge art collection.
