This contest is now closed. Congratulations to our winner, Paula Fowler.

Our August contest is from dandelion KIDS and it’s another great one. You could win a Skuut Bike valued at $175. These pedal-free, balance bikes are brilliant for helping kids of two on up learn to ride.

dandelion KIDS opened on Commercial Drive just over four and half years ago and they’ve since become a community staple. Owners Stefanie and Maria still can’t believe that some of their original infant customers will be entering kindergarten this September. And they’re as well-known for their whimsical window displays as they are for their amazing stock. Speaking of which, fall finds are arriving daily and they include goodies from Ben Sherman, the organic and fair-trade line Imps & Elfs, Katvig, Tea Collection which is introducing some organics into their lovely line, Appaman, Canadian-made, organic Mini Mioche, Glug, Morgan and Milo, Noppie’s and heaps more. Other new arrivals include a freshly revamped website and a new store in Port Moody.

So how can you get your name in the hat to win the Skuut bike? Start by commenting on the yoyomama site about what you love best about dandelion KIDS and what you think of their new site overall: www.dandelionkids.ca. And you can get an extra entry by signing up for their newsletter. You’ll see the sign up link on the top left of each page of their site, but be sure to include yoyomama in the comment section so they know who sent you.

It’s easy to comment on any of our articles, but you do it on yoyomama.ca not in our daily emails. All you need to do is add your comment at the bottom of the contest after the share and enjoy buttons. Please note: To be eligible for this contest you must use valid email address as that is how we’ll contact the winner.

I love Dandelion Kids and am delighted to hear that they have opened a new store closer to my home! What I love best is that many of their toys are unique. I have not seen any Dejeco products elsewhere and they are a fabulous , creative company – I am particularly taken with their picnic basket set which I saw for the first time on Dandelion Kids new website.

  2. Amber on August 4th, 2009 7:14 am

I live in the Port Moody area, so I was thrilled to see their new store open up in my neighbourhood. I love their organic and fair trade items, and the way that they’re willing to spend time to help you when you visit their store. Their new site is great – I like their online shop. It’s a great way to see exactly what they have in their store if I’m pressed for time. :)

  3. Danielle on August 4th, 2009 8:17 am

I like the format of their new website, particularly the sidebar (left). This is a useful means to get information out about new products and promotions. As it is summer and a time for great outdoor concerts, I was excited to see the information about protective earwear that is adjustable from one month on! It is great to see a changing image in the centre of the page, too.

  4. Megan on August 4th, 2009 8:21 am

Great site! I love the links and blog section. I also really like that I can shop online for the same things I’ve seen in the store.

  5. Char on August 4th, 2009 8:36 am

Fantastic site! We love Dandelion kids as the books, bags, shoes, instruments, and other little nick nacs are not easy to find around town. I am always finding unique gifts and great stuff for my baby girl.

  6. Suzanne Clark on August 4th, 2009 8:56 am

Love the new site, it’s much easier to navigate and now just as pretty as they’re window displays!

  7. Inna on August 4th, 2009 10:06 am

My daughter has a dress/hat combo from Dandelion KIDS that’s so-so incredibly cute, and it’s a real life-saver in hot weather, as it’s very breathable, light and soft.
Great selection of clothing in the store!

  8. Louise on August 4th, 2009 10:26 am

My husband and I love Dandelion Kids and we really like the new website. Much easire to navigate. Really liking the free shipping offer on now, as well. Looks like we’ll be doing some shopping!

  9. Amber on August 4th, 2009 10:27 am

I like that they have organic and natural products and a wide variety of items for my child. The website is very crisp and clean and the sidebar makes the website very easy to use.

  10. KoKo on August 4th, 2009 11:51 am

My husband and I LOVE to listen to live music at outdoor venues in the summer, and now we can bring our 5 month old son along! We bought the “ear muffs” for him at Dandelion Kids on Commercial Drive, and not only do they work but they are super cute as well. Their new website looks great and is much easier to navigate, and I really like the option of being able to shop for cool kids stuff from home in my pajamas!!!

  11. Winnie on August 4th, 2009 12:37 pm

Dandelion Kids is fabulous shop on Commercial Drive! The boutique-style store means that items are special and unique, all lovingly selected for families with discerning and distinctive taste. Congrats to them on their Port Moody store and updated website.

  12. Karen on August 4th, 2009 2:22 pm

I particularly like the links section of the new website. dandelion KIDS is a great store…small & personable & easy to shop!

  13. Alyce Hollingshead on August 4th, 2009 3:55 pm

this is just FYI for dandelion KIDS:
I was surfing your new website and noticed that at least one of the “Related Products” is not actually listed in it’s Category…

The vilac ride on tractor is in the related products when you are looking at the plan city car transporter, but you can’t actually find it under the push+pull+ride category… I just found it by fluke… it would be a shame to not see all the products when you select the category…

Also I couldn’t find the Skutt Bike unless I put it in your search engine… so if you don’t already know that you sell it then you would never think to order it from you…

  14. Annie on August 4th, 2009 8:39 pm

I used to live on Commercial Drive till not so long ago, so I know Dandelion KIDS very well. I particulary like that they have organic items and that I can buy things for both my kids (5,1) at the same store.
I like the new website since it’s so colorful and fun and now that I live far from there I can shop online. That’s great!

  15. Jill on August 4th, 2009 8:59 pm

I like the Katkam video on their blog. What an amazing reminder of the storm followed by the fireworks. I also like the fact that only 1 section of their website is about shopping. It’s neat that they have the blog and links. They are not only interested in selling!

  16. Alanna on August 4th, 2009 9:07 pm

Excited to find that they sell the ear muffs – we’ll be needing a pair for our son next year for the airshow! Website is comprehensive and easy to navigate. Thanks for clueing me in to what looks like a great store!

  17. Katherine on August 4th, 2009 10:16 pm

So enjoy the clothes. My daughter was the lucky recipient of a beautiful kimono dress. Perfect for a light summer day. Covers her from the sun but is so cool.

  18. Maria on August 5th, 2009 4:52 am

I love the unique and stylish items .its easy to navigate in the website!

  19. Tracey on August 5th, 2009 7:24 am

Love the fun section on the dandelion kids website. Something both mom and tot can love.

  20. Robin Diehl on August 5th, 2009 8:43 am

Yeah another way to get feedback on products and stay in touch – I love reading the blogs but am wondering how our mothers ever managed without computers

  21. Sara on August 5th, 2009 9:28 am

So happy to see they upgraded their website. I especially like the ‘Fun’ section with Matthew Porter prints to colour and bring in for 10% off. Awesome! Their store is always a treat to visit.

  22. Erin on August 5th, 2009 9:29 am

I love the whats new section on the website. The first thing that jumped out at me was the earmuffs. Hubby and I go to lots of outdoor concerts, being so close to Deer Lake, and now we can take the soon to come wee-one! I have always gone to Dandelion on Commercial for great gifts for friends, and now that I live right between both of them, I can go there frequently to stock up for our wee-one )like the djeco wall art which I am going to head out to get right now!

  23. Michelle K. on August 5th, 2009 9:29 am

I love their 100% organinc soft clothing. For the summer heat wave we had, the camisole and dress we bought for her were perfect to keep her cool.

Their new website it great. Love to read the blog and think it’s a great idea to have the kids print off and color a picture and bring it in for a discount. Everybody’s happy.

  24. Carla on August 5th, 2009 11:28 am

Love the stylish clothes. I can find cute things for my daughter that are not too “girly”. Kudos to Dandelion on the new website, too. I shop online more and more.

  25. Tammy on August 5th, 2009 12:28 pm

The products are wonderful but what I really like best about dandelion Kids is the customer service. Top notch!

  26. Nancy on August 5th, 2009 1:13 pm

Congrats on both your new shop and website, they are both great! Your store on commercial is fabulous, we shop there often and find great things.
    Thanks for the great selection.

  27. Jen on August 5th, 2009 2:05 pm

My almost-3 daughter is on her second tricycle, but she refuses to pedal! She prefers to push herself along with her feet, so for her the pedals just get in the way. The Skuut looks like the perfect solution!
I already love the DandelionKids shop on the site, but am now also enjoying the “extras” – the blog, the “fun” section with colouring pages, and the links to all kinds of great sites.

  28. Sherry on August 5th, 2009 2:50 pm

wonderful to have another store that sells fair trade items and other ethically minded products for kids! It’s so hard to find.
I think the new website is easy to navigate and clear, which is great… but the white background is a bit stark. Perhaps a slightly coloured background would make the website a bit “warmer” looking? Thanks!

  29. Petra on August 5th, 2009 7:04 pm

I love that Dandelion Kids sells such a great selection of fair trade and organic products. Its always so easy to find a great gift for a little one at their store because they have so many unique items. Overall, I like the website – its easy to navigate and is attractive and I enjoy reading the blog. I do wish, however, that the store contact information was located right on the home page.

  30. Rachel on August 5th, 2009 8:35 pm

Dandelion’s site is just as smart and fresh as their storefront.

  31. heather on August 5th, 2009 8:55 pm

I absolutely love Dandilion Kids! Their window displays are the best in the city. Fun, original and interesting. They have a great selection of well made toys and my 2 year old has had many from there.

  32. carmen kerr on August 5th, 2009 9:08 pm

I’ve loved this store since it first opened on the drive! Great products, great style, nice owners! It’s become my number one destination for birthday and special occasion gifts. The kids and I always drop in if we happen by–they love the stuff and I LOVE the sales they always have. The new website is great too–I really like the blog. It was surprisingly fun to read and not all about selling stuff. Great idea.

  33. Giulia on August 5th, 2009 10:46 pm

I like being of a “one stop shop” for kids for clothing, toys and that other fun stuff for treats and special occasions.

  34. Olivia on August 6th, 2009 6:48 am

Oh! so much easier to use now! I like the categories vs the old shop by age. Since I shop online all the time, this will be great! When I do have the time, I love stopping by their store, it’s got a great selection in there!

  35. Angela on August 6th, 2009 8:44 am

I am glad they are now located in Port Moody–close to home! They really carry beautiful things for children. If I had to pick one wish list item it would definitely be the Skuut Push Bike for my 2 year old! Great site, by the way!

  36. Jill on August 6th, 2009 9:00 am

I love the toy and book selection at Dandelion Kids. They carry simple but unique products that I haven’t found elsewhere. The new site is much easier to navigate!

  37. kristen on August 6th, 2009 9:07 am

I LOVE LOVE the unique kiddie things at Dandelion. I always find cutie clothes for my kids there, it’s the best place to shop for kids birthday presents! The best part about the website is I can share one of my fave stores with friends around Canada.

  38. carol on August 6th, 2009 9:13 am

I have to shop on line because I live in a small town. The site site is so easy to use. I also love the store when I do get to town. I have found the most unique and useful gifts there. The owners are so helpful and wonderful about spending time with you to help you find just what you are looking for. Never have been in the store without buying something.

  39. Alex on August 6th, 2009 9:20 am

I love the user-friendly online shopping option.(A great option for those of us a little “further afield”.) And what a great selection of unique toys!

  40. sharm on August 6th, 2009 9:32 am

Awesome site! Very clean and easy to navigate!

  41. Mia on August 6th, 2009 9:39 am

Dandelion kids is a fantastic store! I trust that the toys are of the best quality, which is invaluable to me. It’s the best place to buy a gift with their great take out box wrapping. Not only is it a great store but the owners are incredible! They are always friendly, welcoming, never pushy and always seem happy to see you. Dandelion kids is a real community store with flare!

  42. Christine on August 6th, 2009 12:02 pm

I love dandelion KIDS and couldn’t wait for the Port Moody location to open. They have such unique and amazing products, and the window displays are amazing. My daughter loves to come into the store to play with the toys, while I check out what is new. The website is great – and love the fresh, clean look – easy to navigate as well!

  43. Kim on August 6th, 2009 1:13 pm

Dandelion Kids is the shop I go to when I need a special something for a gift or a treat for my son. I know I will find just the right thing. Especially love the wooden cars and bikes. The website is lovely.

  44. Bianca on August 6th, 2009 1:39 pm

I really like how the dandelion kids website is easy to navigate. I love the unique items I can find in the store and the skuut bike is something I have been eyeing for my daughter.

  45. Heather on August 6th, 2009 5:15 pm

Dandelion Kids is just a great neighbourhood store with wonderful local and eco-friendly wares. I stopped in during the heat-wave to purchase one small item for our baby, and never felt ‘in the road’ or rushed while the 2 year old played for 20 minutes with various things in the store, giving us a great respite from the heat outside! Keep up the good work – and we’d LOVE a Skuut bike… ;-)

  46. Melissa on August 6th, 2009 5:59 pm

It’s sooo much fun to shop at Dandelion Kids! I love the unique selection of Scandinavian clothing (Katavig, Minymo etc), and their commitment to healthy, creative toys. In fact, we were first introduced to Sophie there, before everyone else jumped on the bandwagon. We’ve been eyeing the Skuut for my son so we’ll keep our fingers crossed! (cool website too – even easier to shop at home now!)

  47. Kristin on August 6th, 2009 8:24 pm

I really enjoy visiting Dandelion Kids. I used to live near their Commercial Drive location, but am pleased to discover they have a new location in POMO- closer to me. I discovered Plan Toys from them and bought my daughter the musical band drum kit for her second birthday. The new website is great- love the hootenany in the “fun” section. That will definitley be one to make during a rainy day. I would love to see my little one skuuting around the neighbourhood!

  48. Dreena Burton on August 7th, 2009 6:05 am

There is so much to choose from on the Dandelion Kids site, and I love how many wooden and natural toys they have. Also, the ‘fun’ link on their site is terrific – that kids can color a page and bring it into the store for 10% off – what a great idea! We would absolutely love to win the Skuut bike! :)

  49. Tami Cline on August 7th, 2009 7:32 am

Dandilionkids is one of my GO TO shops when we head to Commercial Drive. I love the vibe of the place. It’s just a cool place to walk into and I always walk out with something for my daughter, be it the baby skin care products that is so nice on her skin to cool and funky fashions that feed my need for something a little bit different than what everyone else her size is wearing. What do I like about the new website? It’s clean, easy to navigate and has that same B&M vibe the Commercial shop is known for. A trip down to Commercial Drive doesn’t happen that often for us, with the new easy to navigate website I can do a little browsing and buying whenever I want. I also love the interactive portion fun for kids, and links page is a great list of places I may not have found on my own as well as some old faves.

  50. Andrea Firmani on August 7th, 2009 8:05 am

I have been a customer for awhile and I do like the new site. There are a few things I think could be tweaked for better customer service. I like the colourful photography on the main page.

The best thing I like about this shop is the organic stuff they have for babies and all the wooden toys to choose from!

  51. Lisa G on August 7th, 2009 8:51 am

I love Dandelion Kids because they have the most unique and cool kids stuff in town! We get the funkiest things from the store for our toddler that people are always commenting on! The new and improved website is great. Love the Gallery!

  52. Jamie on August 7th, 2009 9:30 am

Where else can you find a hip onsie adorned with something super cool like skulls and crossbones? And with the added bonus of being made by an independent company, not some mega-corporation pumping out cheesy kids clothes using less-than stellar fabrics? Dandelion Kids puts the loving time and effort into sourcing the best products for my baby, with an emphasis on organic and fair trade. And as a busy mom, that saves me time from having to do the searching myself. Thanks to their new and improved website, its one stop, quick and easy shopping!

  55. Allison Kozdron on August 7th, 2009 10:32 am

I just visited the new store in Port Moody and love it! I like the selection of eco-friendly and responsible toys. Saw a picnic set I love — too bad my daughter is still a bit young. The new website is user friendly and colourful. I like the favorites category — might be nice to include a “shop by age” also.

  56. Deanna on August 7th, 2009 10:51 am

I love the toys they offer – creative and builds imagination; I also love their links page – it is a cool way to find other neat sources (ie http://www.foldingschool.com) for ideas.

  57. Kristi Yorke on August 7th, 2009 2:10 pm

we love the play and the cute “Boys Wear” section. Good selection and if you are in a hurry Toys under 25 is great for little gifts:)

  58. Teresa on August 7th, 2009 5:44 pm

I love the site! I absolutely think all the DANDELION Kids stuff is great.

  59. Ainsley on August 8th, 2009 7:46 am

I love the changing image on the home page of their store front displays. The site is bright and enjoyable. I did have trouble with the sidebar. When I scrolled over the category the sub categories would appear but would disappear when I moved the cursor over to my selection. I wasn’t able to view the items to do any shopping. I’m sure I’ll like the site a lot more when I can really check it out!

  60. Dana on August 8th, 2009 9:35 am

I can feel good about shopping at a local, mom owned store that stocks such great, unique earth/kid friendly items.

  61. kate lee on August 8th, 2009 11:51 am

I love all the organic options and the great thing about the new site is that the prices are clearly shown, no hunting around!

I love Dandelion kids. I have always been drawn in by their window displays. I drive across town to buy gifts and stock up for upcoming birthdays. The items they carry are special and ones you want to keep forever. Their site is great. I love all their links as well- kids, clothes and restaurants. My first son learned to ride on a scuut bike that we borrowed from a friend. We would love to have one of our own for our other little boy.

  78. Krissie on August 12th, 2009 10:59 am

  84. Leilah Nadir on August 14th, 2009 9:09 am

Whenever I want to buy a gift for a child, or something special for my own son, I go to Dandelion kids first. They have done all the work for us, by hand selecting the most interesting, beautiful and useful toys that children love to play with, as well as the most stylish cute clothes for them to wear. All I have to do when I get there is try and decide what I will take from all the fantastic products. I love that they have lots of wooden toys and imported toys from Europe, such a nice change from all the plastic toys that are available here. The new website is very user friendly and will make it that much easier for me to shop there when I am housebound with my child in the winter. In the end though, I love going into the real store.

  85. Karen Derry on August 14th, 2009 9:37 am

A rainbow of colours and a wide assortment of organic and top-quality products splashes the pages of the DANDELION KIDS website. Kids clothing, toys, eating products, and a category titled “just because” can be found on the website. After shopping at the Port Moody location (there is also a Commercial Street location) I recommend it to any mom, dad, grandparent or friend who needs/wants a cool gift for a special little person.

Dandelion Kids’ new website looks great. I particularly like the colour scheme, and the layout makes it easy to navigate.

  87. Janet Moore on August 14th, 2009 2:13 pm

I LOVE the protective ear muffs. As a Speech-Language Pathologist who works with kids with hearing impairment, I’m always concerned about the noise level that kids are exposed to these days (think about those noisy battery-operated toys that well-meaning grandparents give your child!!). The protective ear muffs are just the ticket! I’ve looked for kid-sized protection before without success — now I know to head to DANDELION KIDS!!

  88. Audrey on August 15th, 2009 10:21 am

I was very excited to see Dandelion Kids come to Port Moody because I had never had an opportunity to make it to their Vancouver location. I am glad I can get organic clothing and fair trade toys somewhere close by.

Oh, the wooden animals are so cute! What a great addition to our playroom!

  90. Kirsten on August 15th, 2009 4:00 pm

Dandelion KIDS is fantastic! They have unique, useful kid-sized items and it’s great I can purchase them online now too! The new site looks great – I love the unique categories (esp. Gallery & Fun) and it’s very easy to navigate.

The new website is very cool. I esp. liked the FUN section where I could print off a colouring activity for my kids and get a 10% discount at the store. The Skuut bike is gorgeous. The plan toys pirate ship is really cool too. Actually everything is.

  93. Jen on August 17th, 2009 10:11 am

Love the new website, although I never saw the old, even though I have shopped at Dandelion a number of times. The website has great graphics and is very clear and user-friendly. The newsletter sign-up was a little odd, with very small boxes to enter info into (especially Comments).

  114. Beth on August 17th, 2009 3:13 pm

I always pop into Dandelion when I’m on the drive to see what’s new. They’ve got such an eye for the most beautiful things for kids. The new site is great, much easier to navigate than the old site.

  115. Lisa Cowen on August 17th, 2009 10:37 pm

Awesome site! Love your store, it has so many unique items and I love the selection of organic items and wooden toys. Always a must do when I’m on the drive.

  116. Faye on August 18th, 2009 8:47 am

Thanks for introducing Dandelion. I was on their website and it seems like a great store. The stuff they sell are very stylish and the prices are reasonable. My only suggestion is finding the items they sell on the website is not that easy. I was looking for a swimsuit but the swimsuit tab show two items only. However, the site has a few more than what the tab showed. Otherwise, I love the design of this website and the goods they sell.

  117. wing chan on August 18th, 2009 9:12 am

this is my first time on dandelion kids site and i must say i am really impressed! it is so great to see a canadian company that cares about the community and their customers! great job and good luck to all!

  118. Traci on August 18th, 2009 9:25 am

I instantly fell in love with Dandelion Kids when I wandered into the new Port Moody store and found the Dr. Suess “All About Me” Book. I had one when I was a kid and have never seen one since so of course I grabbed one for my own daughter!

I found myself on the online store when searching for baby earmuffs before we went to a concert. The site was easy to navigate around in – nice and clean with just the right amount of “fluff” ;-) We bought the earmuffs and our 18 month old rocked out at the concert with us safely and in style! Thanks Dandelion Kids!!

  119. Natasha on August 18th, 2009 10:52 am

Dandelion Kids…what a fun website! Browsing the site is easy and exciting. There is a great variety of items and you can find items for kids of all ages up to 8 years or so. Kudos!!

  120. Jenie on August 18th, 2009 11:03 am

The new site is much more easier to navigate than what I remember of the old one! LOVE all the cute toys! =)

  121. LAURA B. on August 18th, 2009 11:21 am

3 things: organic, fair trade, and local… does EVERYthing fall under at least one of those categories? I love knowing that I can shop with confidence that someone else has trustfully done the research for me.

The website is bright and colourful. Easy to navigate. Can’t wait to spend the gift certificate I got there :)

  122. Nikki NIeboer on August 18th, 2009 12:49 pm

I really like that the site is very simple and easy to navigate. It loads quickly. I hadn’t ever heard of the site before but I’m really glad that I just did.

  123. sydelle on August 18th, 2009 2:46 pm

The new website looks great – lots of colour and fun! I really like the fun section and the next time I have some extra time I’m going to take a look at all the fabulous links. When I win the lottery, your store is going to be one of my first stops!!

  124. andrea on August 19th, 2009 2:56 am

the store is fresh, not pretentious, excellent selection! kid friendly!

  125. anna on August 19th, 2009 7:58 am

I love their new store – and it is close to my home. Now when I need a gift it is so much easier than the alternatives, and I can get high quality toys and items and not have to worry about poor quality or chemicals/paints/plastics.

  126. Jennifer on August 19th, 2009 8:07 am

Dandelion kids is a great store!! I’ve loved finding different and unusual things for my kids as well as gifts for friends. The new website looks great… very colorful and easy to navigate. It reminds me of the store itself!!

  127. tt on August 19th, 2009 8:49 am

i like the ‘fun’ section with the colouring pages that the kids can bring in for a discount. it’s a great way to connect the kids into going again and again…parents too!

  128. Marion on August 19th, 2009 9:37 am

I love Dandelion Kids! They have a great website. I love their products, great selections, that they are Canadian and are offering free shipping in Canada.

  129. Linda on August 19th, 2009 10:06 am

Their store on Commercial easily accommodates strollers! So many baby/toddler stores are NOT stroller-accessible in Vancouver (aisles too narrow, stairs/no ramp)!

  130. Kim on August 19th, 2009 10:55 am

I love Dandelion Kids unique products. The one that I recommend and give for shower gifts is the Ear Muffs – these protective headsets are fantastic for taking kids to events and areas where noise is an issue. My son loves to wear it… we’ve used them at hockey games, fireworks and kids concerts that get too loud. We started taking him to hockey games when he was 3 months old – other kids were freaking out at the loud horns & music while my little one slept… they totally rock!

  131. Amanda on August 20th, 2009 4:34 am

I LOVE the site redesign. It was good before, but now it’s even better! The ear muffs highlighted on the first page were the first thing I ever bought from dandelion, it was the only place in town to get them! Again and again I am able to find things there that I can’t find anywhere else.

    Thanks so much!

  132. Paula Hunter Karlsen on August 20th, 2009 1:23 pm

I love the store for both what they sell and the ‘ambience’. So many kids stores not only sell less-than-desirable quality items, but the lights are killer! I love the low lighting and simple layout — it is easy to get overwhelmed by all the ‘stuff’ out there, but Dandelion Kids seems to just carry all good stuff! The staff are wonderful as well. Very friendly and helpful. Website pretty much carries the same qualities as I stated above :)
And of course love that it is so close by! Great location!

  133. Shirley Bice on August 21st, 2009 6:17 am

I love the hooded towels… they are so cute. Especially the Elephant one.

  134. Tina on August 21st, 2009 8:10 am

I discovered Dandelion Kids when looking for unique (and lightweight) gifts to send to my nephews in Australia. I always found great t-shirts, books, and toys in the Commercial Drive store. Now that I have a daughter, I love shopping for beautiful dresses and funky outfits – including the great Trumpette socks. Her current favorite are the ones with tiger stripes! I recently started using the website. I like brightly colored nav bar at the top, and appreciate the way they have organized their products for ease of surfing.

  135. Rob T on August 21st, 2009 10:52 pm

Never been to Dandelion Kids before, but their web site looks good and will have to check it out next time I’m on the Drive.

  136. Elia on August 21st, 2009 10:56 pm

Website looks great. If our house wasn’t already so full of hand-me-down stuff we might actually buy something there.

  137. Ruth on August 22nd, 2009 2:53 pm

Dandelion Kids is a great local store offering fantastic and unique finds. I especially love the window displays – so inspiring and creative! Makes me want to be a kid again!

The new website is easy to navigate with clear labels and descriptions along with product photos. It is definately a site that I will regularly peruse and share with others.

  138. Rachel Bailey on August 23rd, 2009 8:47 pm

I love the variety of toys that Dandelion Kids has. It’s hard to find such variety in one location.
The website looks great and is very easy to navigate.

The new site is great, easy to navigate and very clear. Love this store!!

  140. Melissa on August 24th, 2009 1:13 pm

Who doesn’t love free shipping? We’ve just moved from East Van to suburbia, and I really appreciate their new Port Moody location. My son was in there with me last week, drumming up a storm on the drum kit (plan toys, I think). We love all the wooden toys that they carry.

  141. Alex on August 24th, 2009 1:16 pm

I do all my shopping on-line now days (maybe it’s a guy thing)and I really like the new website design. It’s easy to find all the supplies I need for my little one (and that my partner is bugging me to get). Dandelion kids has a great selection.

  142. Kathleen Chung on August 24th, 2009 9:47 pm

Wow – thanks for directing me to the dandelion KIDS site – very cool stuff! The best thing about dK is their commitment to selling organic clothing and fair trade toys – their stuff is adorable, yet affordable! Love it all!
Their site is great – easy to navigate, great product pictures and a huge selection of items!

  143. Rachel on August 25th, 2009 7:41 am

I like the appeal and clarity of their website. It seems easy to navigate no matter which page you are on, you can still figure out how to get back to the beginning, which is not something that all websites let you do!

  144. Laura Pasacreta on August 25th, 2009 7:58 am

I have been going to Dandelion Kids for over a year now. It is somewhat out of the way from my neighbourhood but I continue to purchase all toys for my children because of the excellent selection of product. I also love the owner, Stefanie who always remembers me and what I buy and doesn’t even flinch when my daughter terrorizes their store. I’m thrilled that such good business owners are doing well.

The redesign of the website is wonderful – easy to navigate and engaging display.

  145. Christine from BLUSH Designs Jewelry on August 25th, 2009 5:11 pm

The new site is sooooo colourful! I love the purple popups and floating dandelions! Just a nice refreshing look and easy to navigate around! Good Job and will come by when the new store opens!!!

  147. karen on August 26th, 2009 8:01 am

the crafts! the crafts, the crafts! This site is soooo cool for that alone. I can hardly wait to make the shoebox guitar with my girls … think I will have to get some rhinestones to glue to them … and get some shoes for back-to-school for the boxes.

Seriously, you have to love a site and store that goes that extra bit … and laces their offerings with something special. The store is lovely too … will put it on the list of stops for our back-to-school adventures next week.

  148. Michelle on August 26th, 2009 8:18 am

So adorable! I love the little dandelions floating across the page. I haven’t been to the store (yet) but now that I’ve seen the website, I’ll need to go! They seem like really good people – I’ll shop at any good store that supports fair trade and organic clothing.

  149. mara on August 26th, 2009 11:44 am

  150. Lisa Hockley on August 27th, 2009 9:00 am

They have such a great fresh selection of things and we just bought a really nice mobile a few weeks back. The website is really fun too and we’ll be back for more shopping real soon.

I love the products that are chosen for the store. I’ve been very happy with everything I’ve bought from Dandelion Kids. Almost everything has been well worn and will still be in great shape for my second child. We bought a great robe that was the only COTTON robe I could find anywhere. The website is very nice and I especially like the dandelion seeds that float across the screen-such a cute touch.
