It’s another busy weekend, including ongoing events like the 2009 World Police & Fire Games and Harmony Arts Festival that we highlighted in last week’s weekend guide. We’ve also included a few events that are even farther afield than normal, just in case you’re hitting the road.
Trains, Trolleys and Tugs

50th Anniversary Maritime Celebrations

Langley’s International Festival 2009

Saturday’s the main International Festival Day with lots of live entertainment, an international marketplace, a children’s chalet packed with everything from windmills to mud huts, a dog show and lots, lots more. On Sunday the focus is on music and theatre in the park including lots of different live music during the day and then a performance of Romeo and Juliet in Spirit Square at 5 pm: internationalfestival.ca
6th Annual Cloverdale Blueberry Festival

The whole family can enjoy this celebration honouring blueberries – Cloverdale’s primary fruit crop – with entertainment, a (blueberry) pancake breakfast, a kid’s zone and a blueberry pie eating contest.
