We’re taking a little break this week but we didn’t want to leave you without your yoyos, so we’ll be looking back at products and places we’ve previously discovered to see what they’ve been up to since we first covered them.

When we wrote about the Little Humbugs in March of 2008, the line consisted of just the one Butterfly Girl, Jasmine.

The Little Humbugs are the half-child, half-butterfly creation of BC mama-of-three Marghanita Hughes, the author, illustrator and designer behind Wildwood Media. Their goal is to get kids thinking about Mother Nature and encouraging them to look after it. Since last spring the line has expanded to include Lucy the Bird Keeper, Chloe the Gardener and Kati, who’s Canadian.

And they’ve literally just introduced Flint the Dragonfly Boy - who’s stuffed with an eco-friendly fill – so boys can get in on being champions of nature as well. They’ve also published an environmentally friendly picture book, created a bracelet kit with felt beads using fair trade natural wool, birthday cards and invitations and organic seeds. Oh, and there’s lots of safe, kid-friendly fun to be had on their website as well! Phew, they’ve been busy.

And we’ve created this video of the Butterfly Girls in action in nature. Which brings us to our next question – do you watch video online and would you like to see more of our reviews include video? Let us know!
